Crystal Palace (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

Pep you are disgrace to our club your rant at the Palace goalie, Why ?? The officials were to blame not Henderson. Ive always supported you until today but there is no way that any fair minded City fans can support you on this ocassion.
Eh? You're saying Pep's a disgrace for ranting at Henderson yet you admit you don't know why? So please don't presume to speak for the rest of us.

It’s the right time for Kev to leave.
Haaland isn’t the monster we thought he was.
VAR is a crock of shit.
We’ll be lucky to scab a CL spot.
A serious refresh is needed if we want to challenge for anything next season.

That’s about it from me

Pep is the one who has allowed all these average players to become our squad. Its obvious that they're not very good and could miss out on CL even with 5 places up for grabs.
Yeah I suppose so mate, but as pep said, he was hoping to get one more season out of the tried and trusted and it just didn't happen. Obviously losing rodri was massive, and all our other injuries which meant we've played most of the season with a different back 4 every week and made our issue worse. I think there's promise in one or two of the new signings and with other to come I'm hoping we hit the road running next season.

You can’t read into it mate. The team is not at a good level. Players are struggling for either personal or professional reasons or both.

Ran out of steam. New players so far not good enough. Wingers awful.

Pep only uses his system to get the team from defence to the opponents box. The rest is down to the individual and those individuals have been awful.

Let’s see how we aim to fix the problems and what players depart.
If you get from to the opponents box as slowly as we do then that's not a winning tactic

The issue we have is that no team affords us any space to do any of those things
The other issue is when we do have the time and space hitting teams on the break "on rare occasions" like today we always tend to slow it down, turn back, wait for the opposition to get back in position and then we carry on...It's frustrating as fuck.

I have purposely waited till late tonight to post as if I had at full time it would have been a full rant
Now calmly and with thinking head on Pep and his backroom staff need to go - not walk at their time scale - sacked the second the ref blows his whistle after the Fulham game
New manager and staff in take the players to CWC and let the new boss decide who stays and who goes
As to who that new boss is - well step forward new director of football - time to earn your pay - but we we cannot start next season with same formation, same tactics and bar KDB same players

1000s will disagree I will probably get slated, but that's my 2 pence as a fan of over 55 years and yes i fully appreciate everything I have witnessed since 2011, but new winds blowing and time to change

Every one of your points can be refuted very easily.

Why are players struggling for personal or professional reasons?
Why is the team not at a good level?
Why has the team dropped off a cliff that took us 15 years to climb?
Why are new players not good enough?
Why are wingers awful?
Why have we run out of steam?
How do you know that Pep has changed his 2 thirds philosophy, and is now telling them how to walk the ball into the net?
Why is every individual awful?
"Let's see" is not going to cut the mustard for Khaldoon.

Every one of the points you make can be answered by "Pep is over coaching the players"
I have never seen a drop off of this magnitude in a football team before.
The reasons are because the squad of players are all fucked in the head and body, or the manager is.
Which one are you thinking is the most likely?
It could be that the fans are fucked in the head of course, this being the only team that haven't lost any of their last 6 PL matches.

It could be that some fans are so fucked in the head that they are incapable of working out that a team that has had two major season long injuries to key players, one being the Ballon d'Or winner and the other being by far our best player pre-season, along with very lengthy injuries to several others, with no less than 11 players out at one point, is going to fuck up your season as it would any other club.

Yet here we are again having the same stupid debate .

I don't think we played that badly. We should have scored from the chances we had. No big game players on top of their game at the moment. The idea that we could have played a different style when Palace sat back and gave us possession doesn't stand up. We had to pass it and try and work a chance in the box. We had shots, a fair few poor ones. That would be my main complaint. Should have scored the penalty. An obvious red card, VAR influencing the game for their favoured outcome. Shit season. We have to win on Tuesday now.
Most sensible post I have read. Exactly the way the game went.

Utter stupidity, and sad to see it from so many of you who I would expect to know better.

The bit I can't fathom is why you can't understand why you're not the one leading out your team at Wembley.

I'm more concerned with the last 36 matches, than the last 6.
That will indicate how the next 40 matches are gonna pan out.

You are falling back on outdated tropes, btw.
Your reasoning is not solid.
Let's call it quits.

Why have we gone from overloading wide areas, Getting beyond teams down the sides playing that pass in the channel in between the centre back and full back for our overlapping player to get onto and pull it back for a tap in...To now playing it out wide to pass it back inside to a congested area in which there's absolutely no space and near impossible to break down...
