I appreciate the entire team is well below par, but this lad seems completely out of his depth at the moment. Started pretty well when he first arrived. However, it's been a fairly steady decline since. Just offers next to nothing, his shooting and decision making when to shoot, are both hopeless.
That brief period on the left when he provided Haaland was a few goals was as good as it got. He looked decent there.
We can't afford to have him and Doku on the pitch from the start. I've thought this for a while.

A waste of space at the moment. He’s a shadow of the player that played in Brazil. He has the talent but has far too much self doubt right now.

Not helped by Pep playing him out of position where he was very good for Girona. Few times he has played him on the left were his best games for us.

When he scored against mighty Leicester some people went way overboard. He's gonna be a baller just you watch etc etc...
I thought he was bang average since he walked through the door and have not seen a jot of improvement in any of his play this season.
Him and Doku wouldn't get a look in even at Spurs. They look completely out of their depth against premier league opposition.
It's signings like this and Gonzalez that have gotten us where we are today. The club is literally flushing money down the shitter.

I feel bad for savinho that he isn’t the 2nd coming of Neymar while being 20. what a waste of talent. Imagine not being the best winger in the world. Also he is the reason why we don’t have any fullbacks and that he has to go 1vs2/3 all the time from an standing point where the whole team just watches him and Doku if they can go past players alone to create a chance .
Dembele/ kvara/ Leao/ Olise/ Lamine/ Vinicius, Mbappe and whoever those other names are would also struggle on the wings for us.

Maybe I'm just an optimist but I do think the talent is there, he (like so many of the squad) just looks mentally a mess and needs a break.

There's underlying talent but his shooting technique is abhorrent.

Not sure how you can say Doku looks out of his depth against Premier League opposition. When he can absolutely skin pretty much any fullback in the league. Yes, he needs a better final ball but it’s not the opposition holding him back.
As for Savinho time will tell but i think he’s far too talented not to come good. First season starting at 20 in a tougher league. Plenty of players need time to adapt.
That's what I thought and said before we got him. He just wasn't my kind of player. He was skilled but loose with the ball and clunky.
Sadly, my expectations of him were so low that I'm far more impressed by his early performances before he hit the wall than i thought I'd be.
So really cant complain now. That said, Rodrygo was and still will be a far better fit. But there is serious potential in Savio.
