PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Only this can save our season now.

Nightmare scenario, the scum win a trophy tomorrow and qualify for the CL.
We miss out on Top 5.
(Surely to fuck both can't happen)

We'll need this to go in our favour and be announced soon to give us all a boost heading into the summer, and some ammo to hit back at rival fans.
Win or lose you will find a negative slant to it as usual

The delays to this are fucking with my head.

I think we've lost the case and they've deliberately delayed the decision so that it has an impact on next season rather than the current one. Either that, or the club has been informed and release of the decision has been delayed pending appeal. I know you will all think I'm crackers for suggesting these things hence the first sentence of this post.

It's simply cruel for us, the followers of the club and to whom it means so much, to be kept in the dark in this way for so long. I find it very hard to get excited about the football itself any more which is very sad.

We were expecting a decision in spring. I know those with experience of these things did warn it could take longer, but Pep clearly believed it would be spring too. Then a journalist broke the news it would run on to summer or beyond. It looks like he will be right, but how did he know? The news relating too 115 has been water tight; does anyone know how this journalist got this info? Why would he know?

as Stefan said on X. the Leicester case was 2 days and took 6 weeks to write up. our case took 50 days so the maths would have that at 150 weeks. of course it will be much less than 3 years to write up. we hope.

he most likely took an educated guess. imo.

Which "journalist"?

Be a regulator in before we hear.

Because he spoke to some actual lawyers who gave their opinion?

A better guideline is the original APT case, I think. 6 week hearing 3 months write-up. 115 was 12 weeks wasn't it? So say 6 months = around June, I think. Getting due :)

Masters should have resigned when it was deemed the Premier League had ran an illegal rule book leaving them open to all sorts of problems. Then telling the clubs to vote on a solution that was still deemed illegal when City had told other clubs not to vote until the independent panel in the associated parties had fed back its recommendations. The guy has no shame and even after the 115 case he will still be clinging onto power unless he is pushed.
He is shameless, just wants his nice salary.

Even had the audacity to show up to Goodison for Everton’s last match, surprised someone didn’t try and ping a pint off his head.

At the Cup final I met an old buddy who is a corporate lawyer and a life long blue. He's worked in the capital for 25 years and interacts with numerous KCs. I asked him if he knew who the 115 KCs were and he said he's asked constantly but its amazing how water tight it's been. I queried him with the old 'process of elimination' logic ie there's only 15 possible KCs and if 3 of them appear to have done nowt for 6 months then surely it must be them. He said that it's unlikely they have worked continuously on 115 and not been dragged off to other cases, and that's another reason why it's taking eons.

I don't think all the possible members of the panel were KCs but could be wrong.

We were told all along by experts that this could take longer. Stefan was always very clear on that, but Pep thought it would be spring so I assume he was getting that from inside City (we have lawyers!). I'm just curious to know who tipped off the journalist? It's not too much to thinks someone should have asked him how he knows.

Masters is just the Trump of the PL.
He is the idiot front man stood up to say and do stupid things and deflect attention from the real brains of the organisation who are getting on with the serious business that the cartel needs to do.

I hope khaldoon is ok. He has an awful lot on his plate I would imagine. I wouldn’t be surprised if he stepped down at some point.

Didn’t look well on that Kev unveiling.
