That was the absolute end of my adolescence tonight.

De Bruyne was the last one standing from my uni days - the last player still here who joined before I graduated. And there he goes, along the road without us. When Sergio, Vinny, Raheem, Leroy, Zaba, Big Joe, Fern and the rest all said goodbye with their little video messages I did well up a bit. What incredible times we've had.

I've not really loved City players the same since I turned 25. That devotion I felt as a kid, then as a teenager, then as a young adult - the connection isn't quite as unconditional and raw for various reasons now I'm a proper grown-up. De Bruyne was the last one left of my proper youth and now he's gone. I became very, very aware of time tonight.

Vinny and Sergio leaving signaled the absolute end of my childhood - when we signed them I was 14 and 17 respectively. I was 21 when we signed Kevin. It won't be long before a player retires and they're my age, or younger. I'll love City players of the future, but not quite with the same adulation and unbridled joy and excitement as before.

My mum's followed City basically all her life but her favourites have always been the 1968-1976 core. Corrigan, Bell, Lee, Summerbee, Young, Booth, Tueart, them lot. And I'm pretty sure I'll never emotionally move on from Vinny, Sergio, David, Ilkay, Zaba, Big Joe, Raheem, and, of course, Kevin. They'll always be my best.

Well put blue, but that era was my struggle with young kids through to secondary school age… if we get just half the success by the time you’re where I’m currently at whilst mine are (semi) self sufficient, well, life will be an even more beautiful thing!

Watched the send off tonight , what a miss for the PL KDB will be , one of the best players of all time.

Certainly for a good few years I wouldn't have swapped him for any other midfielder in the world. Don't think there's anybody about currently that comes close to him.

An absolute blessing he played for this club and what a servant he has been to both ourselves and the Premier League.

He literally is the closest thing to Roy of the Rovers I've ever seen. The equaliser at the Bernabeu in the treble year, goals at home and away against Arsenal in the title race, scoring at Utd and Stamford Bridge, the 4 goals at Wolves during a title run in etc etc. As we saw tonight he doesn't really do tap ins. Usually a 25 yard screamer into the top bin too.

So many memories of an iconic player it's hard not to get really cut up about it. Dont be a stranger Kev. Xx

A fabulous player, a gift from up above. His medal collection is complete and he lifted us to heights I never imagined.

His performance at Wolves Away in May 2022 was the finest individual showing I've ever seen by a Manchester City player.

His pass to Leroy Sane vs Stoke in the 7-2 game remains the best pass I've ever seen a City player make and I've been going since 1977.

A key player in the only team in top flight history to register 100pts in a season.

A key player in the only English team in history to win all the domestic pots in a single season.

A key player in the team that won the treble and the only English team in history to hold the League Title, FA Cup, European Cup, European Super Cup & World Club Cup at the same time.

A key player in the the only English team to win 4 top flight titles in a row.

Thank you for everything Kevin - it's been an absolute honour and privilege to watch you play.
