We have enough wingers, and ours have similiar if not better numbers in Williams case.

I dont trust Savinho or Doku to be reliable enough? Savinho the second half of the season has been mainly binned to bench as well? I cant cope with another season or Bernardo on the wing going backwards every pass? Even if we sign quick full backs, we used to have them type of full backs with Sane and Sterling on the wings? We need wingers who are quick and willing to take people on? Doku does it but lacks fitness to do it for sustain periods.

We change our style

Marmoush will be outstanding next year and we have both Rodri and Bobb back

More an issue is Full backs and maybe another midfielder

Goalie is another

I think you're probably right but how are you fitting in Marmoush and Haaland? That's the conundrum for me because you either have to play Marmoush on the LW cutting in, which means we need a fast, energetic overlapping LWB. Or you have to play Marmoush in the 10/shadow striker role which is probably his best but means Foden misses out.

To fit them all in, you'd probably need to switch to a 4-2-3-1 and have traditional fast wing backs:

--------------------- Ederson ------------------------
RWB--------Dias--------------Gvardiol-----------LWB
----------------Rodri------Nico-----------------------
Savinho--------------Foden---------------Marmoush
--------------------Haaland---------------------------

Just don't know if you get the best out of Haaland in this formation without at least one traditional winger whipping in crosses - you'd need excellent attacking wing backs.

We don't need to replace Kev on a like for like basis, instead a balanced midfield of players that can break the line, shoot and have the energy and intelligence to press as part of the team. A midfield of Rodri, MGW and Reinjders with our current wingers and Haaland is very powerful indeed. The above 3 revolving where required with Gonzalez, Silva (and maybe Wharton) would give us plenty of cover and we still have Gundogan/ Lewis/ O'Reilly to chip in

You're probably right but that means Foden is benched for the majority.

Williams is just Doku on triple the wage. Id take Rodrygo but he wants to play LW and we dont really need him there.

Would have Marmoush behind Haaland

Both play each other off well

Foden needs to sort himself out first as he hasn’t deserved a starting spot

I have faith he will but for me Marmoush shows more at the moment

I expect. FBs getting right round the two wide players who get as close to Haaland as they can in a 325 when attacking.

Seems unbalanced to me.

We need someone who's job is too slide in haaland at every available opportunity

where? (just interested)

I think you’re two wide players Foden and Marmoush are all best operating in the middle and they’ll both be looking to come inside. Thus you rely on the full backs constantly overlapping. It’s a bit one dimensional and easier to defend against. Having wide players like Rodrygo, Salah etc who can come inside or go outside is better. And I also think players like doku on the wing get the best out of Haaland.

Doku cant find Haaland to save his life though. They seem to have zero chemistry. Would take Rodrygo for him
