I wouldn't say its dross, however if a player wants to get recognized for their individual brilliance, then our current style of play (emphasis on current) would easily discourage them. If Bernie was at any other club that allowed him express himself, he would have at least been a Balon Dór nominee but the overly disciplined and mechanical way we play leaves very little room for individual brilliance. It's a winning formula alright but it can sometimes seem lifeless.

Of course not, which makes it even more bizarre that people use nothing other than words on the ether as a tool to bash the club with. I find it all fucking vile to be honest, given what the club has done for us. You can see why City do the PR. You’d think everyone would see it for what it really is, but it seems many don’t. Wirtz not joining us has absolutely nothing, zero, to do with money or the package on offer. He simply rejected us (and Bayern). Nothing more to it than that. So City quickly put out the story that the deal was too expensive to try to save face.

really want to see what will be the final cost. fee to Leverkusen, salary and agent fee. have a bad feeling it will be nowhere near the 300m mark which we leaked that would be too expensive for us.

The cost really doesn't matter. If he had said yes, we'd have paid it. We liked him, and he was open to coming. Him and his family did their due diligence and concluded Liverpool was a better fit. Fair enough. Cant fault that.

It almost as if they came to England specifically for City, then concluded that wasn't the best scenario for them and Liverpool the English champions swooped.

I don't remember one single person saying we did not need cover for Rodri. The general consensus was the exact opposite.

Not on the wind up just fucked off that we can’t seem to get the deaks we want over the line and even when we make signings like in January we never even play them . Just hope we move on the players who are struggling to get to our standards .
