Its ok to believe we are or we are not bringing in the requisite quality of players but what makes me laugh is the people who cant even argue that we are but instead just insult people with playground names.

If. Can we rely on an "if"?

I love Phil to bits but we need to do whatever we can as a club to nurse him through whatever is currently going on, and hopefully back to his best.

But can we take a gamble on such a talent getting back to his best? Not investing in a creative option in the hope that Phil gets back to where he was is a big gamble.

In my opinion, we need a creative option even if it could be guaranteed that Foden returns to his best form. Foden isn’t really a creator. I see him as a sharpshooter, someone you want on the edge of the box when up against a low block. Or someone you want to be crashing into the box for those cut backs as he has a natural ability to sniff out chances in the box. What he’s not, is the creative hub of the team. I think a lot of people assume every single player that can play as a 10 is creative. But I don’t really see that as Foden’s game.

Spent £200m in Jan and only one of the signings gets on the pitch. We paid £30m for a Brazilian kid that spends his match days at the Trafford Centre.

Oh and we have fucked off our greatest ever player in order to get in Morgan Gibbs White !

Oh and we have the second highest wage bill in Europe yet need a result on the last day to stay in the top 5.

Just to clear up one of your points, the January signings have a total of 45 appearances between them.
Our greatest ever player is no longer our greatest player, but our highest wage-earner, which sort of destroys your wage-bill point.

The Brazilian kid, I am guessing you mean Reis, is the captain of Brazil U18, and a big prospect. Should Ake or Stones leave, or both, I imagine you will be glad that we had the foresight to secure some of the best young defenders in world football.

As your post-January stats, you could equally say that Savinho, Doku and Grealish are part of the squad that won the first ever four-peat, if you decide to judge them on parts of seasons.
