Incident at Liverpool Title Parade May 26th

Absolutely horrific really upsetting watching the footage that is around looking deliberately done for me unless the driver had a medical incident
Looks like the police stood down for a few minutes whilst the driver was dealt with
Air Ambulance has been deployed now according to BBC
BBC reporter was there as a fan grabbing his daughter away, crowd were trying to stop it arm police were at the scene

Thoughts with all involved hope no one seriously injured
 
This is where our allegiances need to be put to one side. That could of been us today. The fabric of our society is eroding into utter chaos. I've seen the footage what's being banded about and it is MOST CERTAINLY NOT a road collision! That makes it sound trivial. The guys gone into the crowd and carried on driving into it. I don't know the ins n outs but the only thing it could be other than terrorism is someone's had a heart attack, a fit or some other medical episode. But unfortunately in today's fucked up world, I know what my monies on. :( Hope all involved are OK.

I've thought that when I've been at our parades in the past. You're there with kids and you have to trust that the security is sound, but some things can't be prevented. I've never really felt 100% safe at ours and been glad to be home safe afterwards.
 
I have to ask, why were there no barriers? Even if nothing happened with this car, anything could have happened with the bus. Whenever City have had a parade there have been big metal barriers in the road. Why weren't they in use in Liverpool?

Exactly this.
This was a photo took by me this day last year. I asked Ruben to shower me with that champs, which he duly did. I had the fine of my life.

Liverpool fans will have been the same today and have now had to deal with this IMG_0404.jpeg

The person driving was certainly in control of the trajectory of the car. If he'd passed out it would have just slewed in one direction surely?

Shouldn’t have to be in reality however that’s the world we live in, should be a day of joy for fans, families and friends to come together
 
if it is what we think it is, fucking awful. Was only thinking on the way to and from our game the other night, City and Springsteen, I hope no **** tries anything.
