The question as to how a car can just stumble into the parade has to be asked. Where are the barriers to protect the crowd. I can only comment on Manchester City Centre but they're everywhere to protect pedestrians.

Seen this kind of thing before in America when someone tries to drive past/thru a protest and people start attacking the car, then the driver just floors it and people get mowed down.
If so it's an absolute failure by the police and roads should be closed and no one but emergency services should be able to drive down them kind of streets.

There have been similar events in 3 German cities recently, one a Christmas market, all terrorist related I am sure.

That said we don't know for sure yet, in the footage the car looks under control and deliberate but again that could be misleading.

Fuck me what a fucked up and dangerous country this is now.

I suppose you can’t blame people for jumping to the terrorist conclusion but what’s coming out suggests that the person responsible might not fit that profile.
