It's Quiet the £250m return

Seems like Nasri in that regard. Always left you wanting more.
Yep, if he came and was like nasri for £25M ok fair enough, take the punt but how long before pep gets fed up? He'd be a luxury player by all means and not a key fixture but I kinda do wanna take the experiment on

Stones
Eddie
Ortega
Gundo
Ake
Bernardo
Gundo
Grealish
McAtee
Walker
Phillips
Nunes.

Bernardo is Bernardo.. he's no winger but I'm convinced he can do a job in midfield most days.

Nunes has provided 14 G+A this season alone even while playing out of position. Nunes has also shown us what an overlapping full back can give us. And do you see a better option for us out there?

I'm more shocked by the names not included on the list:

Kovacic. He's braindead and we want him to stay???

Akanji can't win a header to save his life.. and we want him to stay???

I'd rather move those 2 on.. and get some actual upgrades.

I’d love Cherki and MGW. I think the latter would be a fantastic ‘8’ and compliment Reijnders, Rodri and Nico really well with his energy and ability on the ball.

Cherki would be a brilliant ‘luxury’ if especially at that price.

I find it really interesting the different takes on Doku. I just don’t see it, he winds me up. I’m not sure we’ve had a player divide opinion like him since Navas.

My take is simply you can’t coach him ball manipulation, like I said he has zero finesse when it matters in the final 3rd. This is proven as every time he plays on the right it’s a painful watch. Never the case with other past right footers sterling & Jesus. Granted, he’s not had David Silva or prime De Bruyne working one twos with him consistently but some of his passing is frighteningly bad, you wonder what he sees.

I’m going to stick with my opinion that he will be gone in 12 months and that we need a top winger in this window.

Savio, I agree, was showing real promise up until Xmas but has gone backwards.

Doku works hard, beats his man but has a pretty poor end product. Savinho doesn't work hard, often gives the ball away and rarely has an end product. Very frustrating. We used to get frustrated by players delivering 20+ goal contributions a season! Now look at us.

To be fair to both, Doku doesn't have many options with his final ball. Haaland often peels to the back stick and rarely is there anyone else supporting him. We won the penalty on Sunday thanks to him finding Gundo on the edge of the box. Get some more legs in midfield or at least, get Rodri back in so others are able to get forwards, and he'll have more options to find.

Similarly, Savinho is 20 and it's a lot more physical than he's used to. With more options in and around the box it will make his life a lot easier.

Let's see how they go over the next 12 months when there's better balance to the side.

Agree. But that's not typically Pep's style. Favors harmonious team and doesn't like to carry malcontents.

worth it if they cover that

it would be a very good move for all, Stones doesn't need to move, plays when he can, Everton have little risk only covering salary and we have an excess of CHs

I don’t really understand why we would loan him.

The man is the dream back up veteran CB. He’ll play 20 of our 60 games a season and be the best CB on the pitch. That’s worth the wages.

If we were selling him for £15-20m and saving £10m in wages then that’s a different story, but a loan is madness unless the management think JSP or Reis is going to be nearly as good as stones in 25/26 *and* have long term potential.

The dream backup is available. Stones is not.

Not him now the barcodes are in the CL - hardly on their uppers either - why would they sell? Ethan Laird is a name

He is a relative of mine, I'll put in a word if you want - but the last time we played football together in my garden I showed him who was boss!

In a year Pep will be gone and Cherki will be 22 with probably 5 years left on his contract.
