Drunk man denied boarding on Easyjet flight at Manchester Airport

the problem with drinking in an airport is much the same as excessive drinking anywhere in that for the most part when you're drinking you yourself dont think you are being a loud obnoxious dickhead you think you're hilarious, in a pub you can just leave, in an airport everyone has to suffer.
Pretty much what I'm talking about. And that's before we get to any safety issues.

no need to rush at any point in an airport and no need to jump to your feet as soon as the plane comes to a halt, i know everyone is keen to start their holiday but that extra 10 minutes really aint gonna make a difference.
I never get people that actually pay to get on the aeroplane early (speedy boarding or whatever airlines use)..

I usually sit in the gate area until the last dozen people are left then stroll on nice and cool.

Same as getting off. What's the rush?

You are only rushing to wait in a que at passport control or to get your bags anyway.

I was on a flight to Munich with Lufthansa. We landed and then the plane momentarily stopped at one of the taxi ways. Everyone dived up and got their bags from the overhead lockers. The cabin crew asked everyone to re stow their bags, sit down and put their seat belt back on. The plane sat there for a few minutes, then the cabin crew had to come round and do a pre flight cabin check again (stow bags, check seat belts etc..) in case there was an emergency and everyone needed to get off in a hurry.

I despair with people at times.

Today’s impatient society……..

You never seem to get this type of riotious behaviour on an Alicante flight, just cheerful boarding with an occational renditon of aviva eh spania. Maybe its a location thing?

there is something about airports that turns sane, rational people into raving lunatics, one example of this is the incessant need to all crowd around the boarding gate like the plane is gonna leave without you if you're not first on.
To be fair, every aspect of the airport seems designed to wind you up. If I ever go through one of those security checks where you have to take your shoes off, I'm immediately furious. I often bring a proper camera with me on holiday, and having to take every electronic item out to be scanned separately pisses me off too. Get better scanners ffs. It's not like you haven't had 20 years to work out what's a laptop and what's a bomb. Take your water off you and then charge you a fortune to buy a new one 5 metres after security. Anyway, rant over.

I get it when you're getting off a plane. I go on weekend trips with just a small cabin bag. The quicker I get off the plane, the nearer to the front I am at the passport queue - not waiting for families with loads of bags and screaming kids. As soon as I'm through passport control, I'm free.

Getting on the plane though? It amazes me. If I'm on a two hour RyanAir flight, it's going to be 20 minutes once everyone's on before take off. Why the fuck do I want to be sat in the same uncomfortable seat watching everyone else clamber on for another 20 minutes? And people pay for this!

I've done it, but I don't give a shit about speedy boarding, it's because it often comes with other things. It's especially because you're not going to get bumped off the flight if they've oversold the flights. Some airlines over here have a habit of listing flights every half hour and then the day before, you get a message saying that your flight time has changed. Then you turn up at the airport and see that the flight you originally booked is leaving on time, and they've obviously just oversold it and put loads of people onto other flights. If you've bought the extra package that comes with baggage, insurance and speedy boarding, I figure they're way less likely to do that to you, because it'll cost them.

I once got a message the night before I was due to fly that my 8pm flight had been moved to 8am. That was a full day of my 3 day holiday. I told them to fuck off and booked with another airline. But these days, I try and avoid budget airlines where I can, because our local one is fucking awful and by the time you've added on baggage, it's not much cheaper anyway.

It's more at the check in desk tbh. I've had 30 or 40 minute waits once where I'd be happy to pay a fiver to go to the front of the queue and then go and sit at the gate or have a look round the shops. Also getting to the overhead storage first can be a plus, especially on a low budget flight where everyone's bringing carry on only.

Agree with the getting off. I was on row 2 recently as booked the flight late and it was almost full so had to pay more. I was in the first 5/6 to get off the plane of 240 people. I got to passport control first and no one in the queue. There was only one person on Passport control so fuck knows how long number 240 had to take to get through.

Last year at Faro it took us 2 hrs to get through. Been awful since they have had to stamp the passport. Another great consequence of Brexit.

Going on holiday should be enough in itself. I'm sure that most people will disagree but I think the whole culture of drinking before boarding a flight is part of the problem.

I enjoy having a pint when I get through security and into the terminal. Rarely go over the one though as I can’t be arsed needing a piss all flight. I do enjoy a Burger King though at the airport as is tradition.

I don't know how people have time for more than one. How early are you getting to the airport?

Was hoping for someone to just walk forward and lay the **** out with one punch, fucking state of him.

Shouldn't have got through security for the outfit alone.
Absolutely no point in wasting any breath on twats like that, that’s for sure.

Sounds like you’re on a roll, carry on

Priority Boarding. The gift that keeps on giving.
