It's Quiet the £250m return

I think it’s disgraceful that people on here don’t want to rate Dias.

He’s our captain next year, back him and get on with it.
Tbf his form has been a bit ropey this season and if we're being honest maybe the 2 before that he hasn't been the colossal beast he was in the 20/21 season

We thought he was gonna be THE best CB in the Prem for the next half decade or so but it hasn't quite gone that way

I agree that those putting Khusanov over him are pretty clueless, and I dont think we need a new CB this summer as Gvardiol-Dias partnership looks very good, but I think question marks about just how good he is can be raised

Back him to get back to his best, hopefully alongside Gvardiol

I think he’s peaked tbh. He is still a stable force but he’s not what he was. Just to be clear, I do still rate him, but rather than a 9 I’ve got him at an 8.

I'm with you.

I think as a box defender he is top class, but as a high line defender he is bang average if he doesn't have pace around him.

Walker was his beacon of hope in many a game in recent years.

He's a top centre-back, as long as that's what he has to do - defend, block, tackle, clear the ball. His positioning is excellent in the big games when we have to defend a fair bit. However, more often than not now he's being dragged further forward and recycling the ball 30 yards from the opposition goal. Or being dragged wide and trying to play football. Not his strengths.

You could say the same about Oscar Bobb. The myth, the legend has grown the longer he's been out.

You could do, you're right. But I think Bobb was likely to be a fairly regular starter at the beginning of last season when he got injured. Obviously he would have still needed to show he could deliver, but his pre-season had earned him a shot at it.

This puts him ahead of Khusanov in that sense, who has done pretty well in the games he's been a part of admittedly, but not exceptional. For me the questions over him aren't too much about the defensive side, but more about on the ball. Considering how much we have the ball usually, it is important.

Dias knows what he's doing with it from a deep central position, but Khusanov still needs to get to that level. Might not take too long, or he might not get there, no idea.

He’s not a top centre back in any way whatsoever. How anyone can think a centre half that has limited pace, crap in the air, and not great at passing, is a top player is beyond me. Yes, he puts in some decent blocks from time to time, and I still remember him playing well when he first arrived, but we’ve not seen anything close to that for a long while now.

He played 30 PL games when we won the title the season before this. Can't have been too far off decent then?

This season has been different for many. A more consistent starting lineup and he may get back to his heights.

She's doubled down on Rodrygo coming to us. Now a Madrid journalist is saying the same.

Apparently, I'm not the only one saying
@RodrygoGoes
is going to Manchester City.
@JCLAROS_
said the same thing in today's live stream.

This just feels like a very "Un-City" and "Un-Pep" signing.

I can't think of a time where we have paid that kind of money for players, who are deemed surplus to requirements at clubs like Real Madrid.

He has 68 goals and 50 assists in 267 appearances for Madrid. Numbers which are very okay, but don't justify 80+ Million on a player we don't really need.
