Pep Ljinders appointed as assistant coach | James French joins as set-piece coach (p15)

Special brand of halfwits these scouse cunts :)

We've turned the tables on the Scouse c......

Beautiful.

In a story first reported by The Times, the revelation that Pepijn Lijnders, Jürgen Klopp’s long-serving No2, is set to join Pep Guardiola’s backroom team at Manchester City has sent ripples through both Merseyside and Manchester. This is more than just a coaching appointment. It’s symbolic, significant, and stings more than Liverpool fans might like to admit.

Liverpool were at their best when he was there, they ran for days. I assume he's eyeing up 2 years and then a management gig somewhere like most of Pep's assistants.

On paper he's a great appointment.

Hopefully this means the players will move the ball faster like they used to do, instead of the boring backwards and sideways shit. A mixture of Pep ball and heavy metal (Klopp) football would be great to watch.

Hopefully can find a way to get the best out of Haaland too

Doesn’t bother me that bit - two different roles/skillsets.

Look at Arteta - won loads of pots at City as number 2 yet has become a serial runner up as a manager
Depends what we are after from him, many are suggesting we are after fresh ideas. If that's the case, his failed managerial stint would suggest he's not somebody we want to be taking ideas from. That's not the only role of the job though, no reason why his failure as a manager would impact his other duties.

his Salzburg time was piss poor, but as a number two under Klopp he was important part of dippers best years.

I like it as he has very different way of playing than Pep, I hope he brings different ideas to make us quicker and work harder. this needs to be all implemented already during CWC.

probably club is aware football has changed at athleticism, speed is probably king in next 3/4 years and then another cycle will come.
