Julian Alvarez to leave Atletico?

He started off really slow at Atletico then suddenly there was no stopping him scoring. I'd be pissed off if he rocks up at Arsenal or the dippers

I don't think 17 goals is some great return in la liga, even with a slow start

It's a lot easier scoring in that league..

I reckon he's a 15 league goals a season kind of player in the PL

I’d be very disappointed to see him back in England.

Atletico paid £80m for him, how many clubs can offer more than that for him?

Real
Barcelona
Bayern
PSG
Arsenal
Chelsea
City
Liverpool
United
Newcastle?
Saudi League?

So 9 clubs, maybe 10 and 1 league, more than half the clubs are English.

Argument to be had wether it’d be the same if Erling didn’t exist.

Erling missed a few months last season...Alvarez wasn't scoring anywhere near that goal to game ratio then when he played that position for months.

Handy player but nowhere near Erling's level.

Alvarez did 17 in la liga. Erling would double that in that league while having a mediocre season..

Alvarez played in 36 league games for us last season, plenty were starts, got 11 goals. He's about a 15 league goals a season player.

Almost was that gutted when he left, he hasn't exactly set La Liga alight and he wouldn't put up great numbers if he came back to England.

Alvarez is a superb player. Helps with the press , tracks back , great finisher and if played as a out and out forward will get you a goal every other game as a minimum I would suspect. His return will never be up to peak Haaland levels but does not diminish him as a player. Will be disappointed to see him land anywhere else in England. (Although I also thought Jesus would do more as a centre forward at Arsenal TBF)

The fact we used him to fill in for KDB or out wide more often than a forward probably resulted in him leaving but perfectly understandable given the form Haaland was in.

Marmoush as his effective replacement may well turn out to be at the same level and hopefully we will find out next year - signs look good so far.

There’s no real argument to be had as to whether Erling is a more effective goal scorer than Alvarez, I think the stats are very clear. Also, and I’m not saying you, peoples memories are very short, there were loads of bluemoaners whinging every time Alvarez was selected in his last season for us

Indeed, yet he needed to recover his best level and feel more comfortable and he have done that in Aleti, at one point he could have derrail in his carreer, he didn' even started well too. Players need to feel rest and confident to be at their best, that was lacking in his last season in City, for many reaons some his fault, others the enviroment and particular set up of the team and Pep's approach.
Your namesake "Loco" moved around a bit after leaving Huracan,

Bit of a fucker, assume Atletico won’t sell to Barca/ Real and debatable if former can afford.

So can only be England.

A front four of Wirtz, Salah, Alvarez and Diaz is pretty damn good.

So probably have to hope he goes Arsenal or Chelsea (hopefully Chelsea).

You are putting too much emphasis in numbers. He isn't a prolific goalscorer, yet he is a great foward that operates also as another offensive mid.

I dunno if he can sustain this great last season, but you clearly didn't watch him or at least follow their press to think he didnt have an impact in La Liga. He really had great games, even more in Champions League. He is no Kun, yet he is no Joselu either

And again he NEVER SPOKE of leaving Aleti, its Barca, Liverpool and Arsenal knocking at the door what created all these speculations. And since Griezzmann is closer to retirement and Aleti lacks some bigger names to assure a better competition against Real and Barca, the later and EPL clubs can use that argument to lure them.

Aleti would only sell if there is lots of money (like it happened to them in the past) or quite a sum and some good player involved
