I'm not convinced he is that good and I don't want us to make mistakes like Casemiro, Ramos, Benzema who all got high salaries but the teams got very little in return.

Come to think of it, I can't think of 5 players who had better careers after Real Madrid than while with them in the last 20 years or so. The last good one.. actually have to go back to Luis Enrique 30 years back!

I would ask why he has fallen down the pecking order at AC.

I can’t remember where I read it, but the story said he was looking for a transfer because he had fallen etc. Like all transfer stories, pinch of salt required. I haven’t checked AC’s recent selections.

How do you mean fallen down the pecking order? I checked every game in April and May, which is Milan’s last 11 games and he played every minute, bar coming off in the 87th and 89th minute of 2 games they had won
