That little rhyme was what my Dad or Grandad used to say when something was too good to be true or someone wanted a flutter on something they thought was a sure bet, even though they were clueless!

I thought some other FOC might recognize the phrase.
 
@salfordpaul is one of only a handful of posters that I follow on here as he has genuine and credible information. Weirdly I was just thinking that I’d not seen anything from him in ages, although he isn’t prolific, and was checking on his latest posts last night when that one appeared. Would love to know some more.

Well….he doesn’t live in Salford, he’s Paul from Salford, either way I think there may be more than 1 Paul who has originated or still lives in Salford.

Can't be a defender because even if it's a good signing, nobody gets excited about signing a right back.

Must be a big name to be 'outrageous.'

Doubt it's a striker as we won't play 2 up front.

Must be a winger seeing as cherki looks to be the chosen playmaker.

FWIW, I myself am neither from Chicago nor blue!
(I live in the burbs and am turning a slightly darker shade of pinkish white than normal due to the weather!)
