It's Quiet the £250m return

Brilliant business if the players work out. Sometimes you can add that one player(Wirtz) but city this time around need more to balance the first team.

I am glad we are looking for value in the market and not spending 100m on one player. Spending big money on a single player is no guarantee you will win anyway.
Forced upon us I think.
In previous seasons we tweaked with a player at the top of his game who Pep believed would fit in. The decision this season is to remodel sections or even our style of play so agree with what you say.

You’re strange mate.

It’s like trying to get a girl and you’re putting all this effort for someone who doesn’t even like you. Your personality or your looks but you’ll buy her a car, clothes, etc just so you can stay. That’s sad man.
It would be if it was remotely similar. But I bow to your clearly greater knowledge and experience in such matters.

Not necessarily.
PSG have signed top quality players for over a decade now.

These guys could all have been there anyway. PSG are a pretty big draw.

Whilst true, they also pay the highest wages in the world because they aren't subject to such stringent financial rules.

They're in a settlement period with UEFA but the French football league is fine with them.

Can Wirtz make whoever is playing left or right back play better? You being happy at just buying him obviously improves us in that area but if that was our only business then we'd be having a shite season once more.
Yes - in elite and indeed in just very good sport and other things, one person of excellence can raise standards.

Look, every transfer window is littered with "he didn't want to come", "didn't want him anyway", "too much money", "glad we walked"...all usually after we'd made overtures, so at one stage the club did want them. Even players we can't hold onto turns into the pavlovian, Kaz response of "he wanted to go".
Yada yada, yes, yes......but all I want to know is why, and if it can be rectified, is it being? - probably various reasons. In business there are huge inquiries when key personnel leave or want to, or a candidate chooses a rival firm. I'm sure an organisation like City does the same - but most recent windows have been problematic (not The Christmas supermarket sweep, granted)

Isn’t Haaland on some mega, 10 year deal?

What would be the point of this 10-day transfer window if the international games happening exactly at the same time prevent the players from having a medical and signing a contract? There's gotta be a way where we have the players do all the necessary things during their time with the national teams.
Yep, fucking nonsense.

players are usually let out for that stuff unless its the middle of a tournament.

İlkay Gündoğan and Galatasaray did not meet one-on-one. Contact was made with his uncle, who is his agent. İlkay, who receives 12 million euros annually from City, was persuaded to receive 6 million euros annually from Galatasaray. Okan Hoca also wants the transfer very much. It is very likely that İlkay will be the first name announced.

Ummm..

We simply can't go into next season with Nunes Akanji and Lewis fighting it out for RB spot. Livramento is our number one target but Newcastle don't wanna sell. Right Back is the only position we haven't got any decent cover for.
Wesley

No, not Snipes

we've been linked to at least four so far, so we have a target list

6 million euro less?
Hard to believe Gundogan is on €1m per month.

I’m hoping we convince Newcastle eventually. You’re right Wesley is more of a project like Gomez was.
Our best chance of signing Livranento was 12 months ago when Newcastle wanted to make sure they didn't breach PSR rules. Had they not qualified for CL we may have convinced them to sell but he's under contract till 2028 and settled and happy there. Would need a crazy offer get him which we won't pay.
