Never thought I’d say that but I rather hope for savinho and Doku to fulfill their potential than to go for an overrated rodrygo who struggles to score 15 in all comps - while expecting absolute baller wages.

4 attacking positions, 7-8 players. Haaland, Marmoush, Doku, Savinho, Foden, Bobb + Cherki and maybe Rodrygo.

Remember this season is just blending into the next one, followed by a World Cup which most of them will be at too.

Doku, Bobb, Haaland and Foden all have fitness/injury/availability issues this season gone.

Also he would bring a calmness, Marmoush, Doku, Savinho even Foden are all a bit...frenetic.

Also Grealish and McAtee are away. And Bernardo if he stays is essentially now a deep midfielder.

More to the point how do we make room in the free list of 17 for him,going to be hard just for the 3 we are linked to this week. Think it could only possibly work if Doku or Savinho left. Don't see the point myself for the cost, but if the club decide different fair enough.

That's true, we need to lose two already right?

I guess Savinho and Khusanov are candidates for loaning out.

Need to lose 5 I think with Reijnders and Cherki,and Ait Nouri likely. Think Echeverri and Bah more likely to be loaned than Savinho or Khusonov, if anyone.

Actually think the situation is way better than that, reading the rules now.

Players born in 2004 will still count as U21's so don't need registered next season. So that still includes Echeverri, Khusanov, Savinho, Reis and Bah.

Puts us currently on only 14 players, so we can add the three signings with no current outgoings. Any more would need to be one in - one out.

Non of those are U21 for CL squad and I'm 99% sure we'll build the squad to comply with UEFA rules we always have. Give or take maybe 1 player.

That's fair, although with the squad struggles this season and the CWC basically joining the seasons together, it might be a good time to change strategy slightly. None of them are essential first-teamers anyway.

But yeah, I never really considered Bah, Reis and Echeverri for this season, sort of assumed they'd go on loan.

Most are assuming they will be loaned and they might well be. However none of us have seen how they look in training and don't know how they'll look in the CWC. For all we know Pep might just as easilly want them kept around the squad or 1 or 2 of them, might also depend which other players leave, for example if Stones or Akanji went Reis could well stay.

As I said, we get to concentrate on outgoings before worrying about the make up the final squad, we’ve got a good while to the end of August and the window shutting. Central defence is a place we could see some random movement which will be why Pep wants to see what goes on there before deciding who goes out on loan etc

team are linked in headlines, actual article has the usual 'PSG dont want to sell and the player is unlikely to want to move etc. In in talks for a contract extension to 2030. "
