That's a great fee to be fair.

Regarding Wirtz, while it will be a bummer if he goes to Liverpool people need to get over it. We need a far bigger overhaul of our squad than they do theirs so it stands to reason that we would be reluctant to spend that much on one player when there are so many other gaps that need filling too.

Nobody came be sure how he will work out for us but at that price it's not to much of a gamble. Just hope there is not to much pressure applied and he's judged to early.

Initial fee of £46.3m is great business, should shut the 'just pay the extra £10m' people up. Even the wages are good.

It's just over a third of what Wirtz would have cost over 5years. We're pretty much getting 3 very good players for that type of money.

During recent seasons of us thrashing top teams we've still been well down the headline column order on BBC website, the Mirror and Mail. It used to irk me but not anymore. I just accept their bitter bias.
