PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

' A confidential document, written by a financial adviser operating in the City of London, reveals...'

Do we think this is legit? It looks well researched but how did 'footmercato' get the scoop on this? We will find out later today if this gets picked up by UK MSM. No doubt, they will try their best to make it about City because they've worked too hard making them 'the enemies of football' for another club to steal any of that thunder.
“Worrying links with some ultrasound” sounds a bit mental.

Refuse to sign up to those lunatics but just grabbed a line in 1st paragraph saying:
"only 1 conclusion from this epic battle between the brown arabs and my paymasters"

It's close guys - payback time is getting close . . .

The narrative going forward is ‘it was too difficult to prove there was wrong doing as City didn’t cooperate’. The questions that will need to be asked if so, is why the Premier League kept up this 5 year long pointless crusade and at what cost to the league financially. And on whose behalf?

We already know they act in a non consistent way to certain clubs and they’ve ran an illegal rule book. Where is the article about this?

Looks like nonsense to me. They didn't have anywhere near €300m in revenues from Asian sponsors. They only did a total of €125m pa in commercial revenues and that included kit and FOS. Plus given Inter's TWO UEFA settlements (so far related to every season from 2012 to 2027), their fraudulent accounts investigation in 2021/22 by the Milan Prosecutors Office (https://reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/soccer-italy-police-obtain-documents-inter-milan-serie-alleged-false-accounting-2021-12-21/…), their fine in 2008 for false accounting (https://reuters.com/article/soccer-italy-accounting-idUKL1278950420080612…) and their ownership by Suning who are largely owned by the Chinese State not sure they bypassed anything...

There was a big increase in commercial income in 2016 for a few years, though. Do you know what that was about?

Could have been a sizable sum over 4 or 5 years ....

City also say they cooperated, if the panel finds they did & are cleared then that should be the basis of every single story that follows.

I'm not saying they didn't use related sponsors but a) hardly the most significant numbers (always below Juve on Commercial) b) they have had a lot of integration of their numbers including by the new buyer, UEFA, banks etc. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Perhaps I will wrong.
