Disgusting treatment by so called “fans” about one of their players who has always been polite & caring. He might have problems for all we know & seemingly, the club & Pep have looked after him.

Shame about City “fans” reactions
It isn’t and won’t be surprising as the move, if true, gets closer.

You can’t state things like this without any detail. Otherwise folk could slander anyone in any way they want - whether true or not - just to damage someone they don’t like.
I asked him to clarify his comment a few minutes back. Still waiting for a reply.

how about you just do as he says
wait for the move to happen and then see what comes out in the press
if nothing comes out then you can slate him for stirring all you want
however he hardly going to spill the beans while jack is still a city player

In that case he shouldn’t have written such a provocative & slanderous comment

There is that element too, that Pep, regardless of who is to blame, didn’t get the absolute best out of him. I really thought he would get the central spot when Kev left and personally I don’t believe he’s been given the chance in full, but nobody knows why and so it’s irrelevant.
I know we had KDB but there are times where I think Pep likes the central spot to be someone that's good in the pockets and I don't think that's his game. Probably why he would put Foden or Gundogan as the more advanced midfielder there.

Loved how he represented the club off the pitch and comes across as a genuinely good and decent lad. Not done anywhere near enough individually on the pitch to justify the outlay sadly. That said, he contributed to 3 league titles and a treble so for that alone, I wish him nothing but good luck.

The writing was on the wall when in spite of all our injuries he could barely get onto the field. When he did I thought he played okay, particularly against Forest.
Obviously he's finished here, no idea why, it's a shame as he's a decent lad.

Echeverri coming on in the final instead of Grealish was a not-so-subtle hint from Pep. Same as bringing him on after 92 minutes at home to Bournemouth.

Pep’s big on players being happy in training.

My guess is that Grealish has been miserable for a while and Pep has had enough.

Jack wears his heart on his sleeve and seems take criticism to heart. He needs to feel loved.

The drinking angle is probably hugely overblown. Kalvin Phillips wasn’t allowed to train with the first team for being a couple of pounds overweight. There’s no way Pep would allow a player to train half cut or hungover.

Plus if Grealish was out boozing all the time, it’d be in the paper every time it happened.

My guess is attitude and a loss of desire to be the best he can be anymore.

The ring leader for the extended bender that prefaced the Cup Final in 2024 - very unprofessional. Cost us a double, that celebration did and sent totally the wrong signals to the Rags.
That's not on an individual player. That's on the leadership group and the manager who let the celebrations get out of hand with a trophy left to play for.
