PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Why do you keep implying that City know the result? I don’t mean have an idea but actually know?

Where is this coming from?

Before they write it up, they know the result; writing the job will take weeks! So I presume somehow they get to know the result. Funny that Herbert’s article is like pointing in a direction it is. We know our owner will not spill the beans if he knows, but the other half, you know, they'll be desperate to leak something…

I agree that he’s a fantasist but I doubt City would be splashing all this cash if they didn’t have some idea of how things have gone. That would be downright stupid.

We won't know the outcome yet, but the club/legal team have clearly walked away feeling very confident that their evidence has dismissed the charges.

I'd imagine it was something along the below lines, but dragged across the other charges and over a few days/weeks (clearly I'm exaggerating slightly).

PL: They submitted false accounts based on inflated revenues, see emails provided as evidence.

City: Here are the emails, with context and here are the people referenced in the emails who can confirm that the allegation isn't true.

PL: That's all we've got.

Lawyers: I think we're okay on that group of charges.

What, no smoking gun?

PL: (behind closed doors) Well we asked Mancini & Yaya Toure to appear to answer questions but apparently, we don't have the power to force them and they told us to fuck off. They also think Masters is a puppet, I think we can all agree on that guys and use him as the scapegoat?

What's the difference between 'have an idea' and 'know'? To me knowing is simply having enough good reasons to believe something is true. The proposition 'we have won' is totally falsifiable but the evidence seems invincible.

I would argue that if the club behaved in any other way than working like if they expect a positive outcome it would more or less be an admission of guilt. Since I very much doubt the club would admit to any wrongdoing/fraud regardless of what the verdict is I can't say I read much into us splashing cash.

That might've been the case when the charges were first announced, but to still be investing so much in new players this late in the process would suggest they have an idea which way this is going to go

I doubt he said it publicly, although I also expect in private he would have said his client was a ****.

I just googled & my memory is distorted, it wasn’t 12 nil or Boris but I’m sure he did say he’s a ****.

“Well, can I say first of all that I didn't always win for Michael Howard. I acted for him in the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Thompson and Venables, the young men who killed the toddler, Jamie Bolger. And I lost for the United Kingdom 17-0.

And we were lucky to get nil as the saying goes.”

We are still a business and it would be poor forward planning to spend beyond our means should we anticipate any kind of punishment that reduces that income. Our guys wouldn't keep spending to save face, I don't think so anyway.

Let's launch? Wtf is is that kindergarten shite!

Still is the case no one knows fuck all on this it seems (except those that say they do but can't explain why), this could run into next season, surely not.

Does anyone know, after the tribunal is finished and they are writing up and agreeing the judgement, can the PL still delay things by asking questions or demanding things be changed?

In other words, it is best for the PL to delay this, it hits our club hard, is there a way they can be delaying things even at this late stage?

In my opinion, if the club doesn't know the verdict but are of the opinion that they have done no wrongdoing, they should act like they have done nothing wrong. Doing anything else would more or less be an admission of guilt.

The guy is a fantasist. The club have absolutely no idea how it has gone.

I wish people would stop posting this WUM here
I agree he's just trying to drive traffic to his tweets, but you can't say for sure the club don't know that's just your opinion, my opinion is that they do know.
