PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Why the fuck didn't you lay into him big style and give him some facts then. Don't let anyone get away with mouthing untruths. Make them feel like the insignificant little know nowts that they are.

Cos I was at work and I didn't want to lose my job ;)

I had already said City are 100% innocent to him. Then he saw the picture of Noel and me at the Brighton game and said ' have you got tickets " I said 'yes, Noel a mate of mine' obviously bullshit lol. He just looked at me and left lol.

All I can say is that my understanding is that Big K definitely knows the outcome (as does Masters and the PL board) but the two parties have agreed to delay the formal publication of the outcome at the PL's request, who will not come out of this well.

This bit is pure speculation on my part but my hypothesis is that they need time to quietly headhunt a new CEO.
Not having it tbh. Someone would have leaked the info by now

Fuck the job, the reputation of City is more important. Have him for harassment.

Speculate away your opinion seems to be common sense, I just hope when we are exonerated we go for the PL and media like a rabid Dog when it is finally announced.

They genuinely tried to make us not exist.

Surely it's not in City's interest to delay. It's definitely not fair on our fan base.

Only the other day an ex teacher came into my office, someone I hadn't seen for 40 odd years. He saw my City flag etc above my desk and started going on about how City have cheated. I know this won't stop once we are cleared, I'm not that nieve.
I said we haven't seen each other for decades so that's not get into an argument over the red cartel and the pl.
We have always played the long game. In the event that Khaldoon does know, right now, it would be no surprise to me that he would 'assist' the PL by delaying broadcast of the result. We will be in a position of great strength and able to influence the future direction of the game for years to come - why spoil that for a few weeks of 'told you so'?

I have no reason to believe that City are happy to accept a delay in the publication of the verdict to keep the PL happy, other than it coming from @Prestwich_Blue. But it may make some sense if we can be in the good books of both a new PL management and the IR. Just a thought.
It’s not in our interests to be at constant war with the PL. We will have our interests best served by being close to a new regime. It might backfire but it’s a credible scenario.

I'm not arguing the club knows it's guilty or is anticipating any kind of punishment and is spending to save face, I dont believe thats the case.
I'm saying that if the club are of the opinion that they are innocent they will most likely work based on the assumption that they will be cleared of what they are being accused of until they hear otherwise. To work in any other way would be expecting a negative outcome, with other words more or less an admission of guilt.

It's not so much about saving face and more about why would the club act like they anticipate a punishment if they believe they have done nothing wrong? I would argue it's not a good business strategy to act like you are guilty of multi hundred million fraud if you are of the opinion you are not.

In my opinion, the club spending lots of money just says they are expecting to be cleared of all or most charges, not that they necessarily know they will be.
Very well put and can't argue with much of it. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome

Agreed mate. I challenge them all the time. I go cheated? Explain what you know and they go quiet and look thick!! Looking forward to the no guilty charge and boiling some piss:)

Exactly what I think too. At the scouse trophy lift although Masters was alongside Hansen who handed it over, the cameraman definitely moved the angle at that moment so he’s out-of-shot. He tried to put on a smiley (“business as usual”) brave face, as people do who’ve been told privately they’ve got the chop. There were people on here saying headhunters had appointed, as I recall - some months ago. Masters is a walking disaster.

@BillyShears Anything at all at your end which could corroborate this? Good positive information from PB, if it can be backed up then even more so.

We mended our fences with UEFA (to a degree) after Ceferin was appointed. I’m sure we’d want to bury the hatchet with (not in) the PL once the bad guys have been cleared out.

Not true.
