Russian invasion of Ukraine

Every fucking word:

"Ukraine has every legal and moral right to possess nuclear weapons. The issue of nuclear weapons is essential for our country — we have every right to it. The true guarantor of our security is domestically produced weapons — ballistic, nuclear, and an army of half a million. Everything else — demilitarized zones, French contingents, Trump’s negotiations — will not save us from anything. I do not believe in peace; I believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
– Andriy Biletskyi, Commander of the 3rd Assault Corps.

We've gone full circle pretty quickly. The original guided smart bombs that the Nazis used in World War 2 were wire guided. Now because of the electronic jamming wire guided is back in fashion because it can't be jammed.

Microwave weapons will make those wire guided drones redundant as well as far as I can tell.

Bet the Flak 38s would do a decent job right now too.

Within a year - two years tops current drone tech will be useless unless immune to EMP.
- Radar guided Laser weapons takes them our at ranges up to 2 miles.
- Microwave weapons will sweep the sky of drones at similar ranges. Electric motors are like transformers and current surges generated within them by modest microwave energy bursts will destroy the motor and power supply circuitry. Let alone the control circuitry.

The west still produces high quantities of specialist EMP immune chips and circuitry for the military.

Then you have the updates to Trophy anti missile systems to combat drones and machine gun amo that explodes in the air like flack

No it just adds to the weapon upgrade / couner measure upgrade development cycle. Whomever excels at that will win future wars.
- Russia is shit at it.
- Ukraine excells.
- China is good at copying.

The west has to fully adopt the Ukrainian approach and it will win. As the UK did in WW2.
Thanks for that very detailed response.

I started to watch sky news at 5 and had to switch it off. Trump blowing his own trumpet incessantly. When jounos got to finally ask questions he was faced with when will the US impose additional sanctions on Russia. His response was sickening.

Basically said he would come down hard on both Russia and Ukraine.

Claims he’s sick of all the dying yet wants them to fight some more before he steps in.

Guess what Trump is threatening to sanction Ukraine as well as Russia.
I supose that gets Krasnov out of his problem sactioning his best bud.

So we await Russia's response.
How big do you think they will go?
Ballistic missiles to a City?
The unthinkable of small tactical nukes?

We know it will be directed towards civilians. So we now have to think what comes next.
It wouldn't surprise me if this will become a tipping point.
We can forget the US/Trump. So the allies will have make a choice soon. Russia now knows the Ukraine is a very serious threat.

Russia isn't stopping. It has to be stopped. I just feel something different is about to happen.

FFS!
One is agreeing to any ceasefire and eventual peace. The same country that has been invaded. The other demanding a surrender with zero compromises. The same country that attacked the other. Yet they both get sanctions.

This isn't "two kids squabbling" as Trump said. One is fighting for their very survival. The other for a vanity project.

Trump is "compromised". Simple as that.
