I had a frightening dream that the President of USA was spending his time slagging off a previous advisor on social media.
Luckily, I woke up and realised that the scenario was impossible, POTUS is far too busy golfing.
 
Vance is, sadly, a strong orator who can think on his feet. Thankfully, he can come off like a really smarmy twat because he knows he’s one of the smartest people in the room in this clown show.

That said, his base is scary tech bro meets Christian Nationalist, and he has to be stopped.

For those of you who know anything about Project 25, his bros are the ones behind it, which is why he’s VP!

He is not to be trusted as “the sane one,” and he has more radical ideas than Trump, who is only looking to get paid.

If Vance had gone up against either Biden or Harris, how do you think he would have got on?
 
We can all sit here and laugh at the childish antics of Trump and Musk but these two clowns are doing an awful lot of damage. And not just the US economy but the world. People are losing jobs in the US, Investors and markets are in some sort of turmoil every other week. Relationships between countries, some that were once close allies, are being damaged. Climate targets have been ripped up.
Aid for the poorest countries and people in the world has been abolished shamelessly overnight.
International trust is waning everywhere, and the world is a much more dangerous place imo.
These are sad and worrying times.

aye we got all the ingrdients for war.

Nations at each others throat.
Right wing populist leaders in power.
Massive wealth but massively widening rich and poor gap, so..
Jingoism about anything foriegn to cure the political problems at home.
Countries militarising and increasing their army sizes.
Lots of flare points around the globe where war is already happening.

That was the lead up to WW1. The internet revolution has replaced the Industrial Revolution but all the same. Scary scary.
 
Vance is the only person on the planet with the potential to be worse than Trump. Trump is a deluded fuckwit whereas Vance is calculated and devious which makes him even more dangerous should he ever get the presidency.

agreed, also worth noting Ukraine got bombarded last night whilst these two were having a twitter spat.
 
One of the sad things I think is that as the US declines in so many ways, the money elite (as opposed to the intellectual elite) are clamouring for AI and Robotics with little or no proper oversight. And at the same time proving to China that anything but an AI arms race is irresponsible given the brazen lack of decency/stability/foresight/intelligence/faith in US politics.

It all leads to a bleak future and it all could likely have been avoided had Trump just stuck to TV.

(I'd argue that it all began with Clinton not keeping it in his pants. We could have had Gore for a more able response to 911, a better respect for education and technology, an avoidance of the rage of the right, etc, etc)

In yesterday's call, Xi told Trump that he was welcome to visit China again. This is a somewhat surprising move, as such an invitation is usually based on a good relationship between two countries. Given current state of the relation, this invitation should not have existed. Really a surprise! There is a possibility that the negotiations between the two sides have made more progress than appears on the surface.
