President Trump

In yesterday's call, Xi told Trump that he was welcome to visit China again. This is a somewhat surprising move, as such an invitation is usually based on a good relationship between two countries. Given current state of the relation, this invitation should not have existed. Really a surprise! There is a possibility that the negotiations between the two sides have made more progress than appears on the surface.
Lol. Or Xi doesn't give a shit about Trump's phony trade war and is just carrying on liken its not happening.

Trump has taco'd himself into a corner.

What do you think of this article?

"This style [Trumps] will definitely make the international situation more disorderly and that may not be a good thing for China, whose interests have already been globalized.

Simply put, when ordinary Chinese people look at what is happening in the United States now, it’s just like watching a movie. They are both nervous and excited because everything they are seeing is new and no one can guess the ending in advance. But for the leaders who actually have to craft policies to respond to Trump, that unpredictability is less entertaining."

If Vance was ever in a position to become the next POTUS, I would buy lots of shares in an eyeliner company…I’d be bound to make a fortune once he was in!!
I've never seen a good opinion poll for Vance. However that applies to most Republicans. They are all in on Trump. Which will make the end of this potus term interesting.

I think they prefer Trump over Biden.
For the ordinary Chinese, they are nervous(NO❌), everything they are seeing is new(no❌), it's like a movie(yes✔).
And for the leader, the main focus would always be on the domestic issue...I don't think these China-US relationship issue bothers them a lot. Trump is unpredictable, but he is easier to deal with. Easy to make the preparation.

And a noticeable deafening silence from Vance while he waits - glued to social media - before committing to either side...
He's stuck, he knows sticking with Trump is his best bet of being the next president but he knows musk can bankroll him or anybody else into the role anytime in the next 2 decades and beyond. He'll publicly but cautiously side with Trump whilst uncharacteristically saying as little as possibly. The media should be badgering him for comment on it, force him into tripping himself up.

Unlikely though - the media have given this administration a clear run from day one.

During the laughably-named 'press briefings', when machine-gun Leavitt avoids a question, the next journo should just say 'I have the same question, but can you answer it this time?'
If she doesn't, the next one should ask the same thing.

She still wouldn't answer, of course - but it might wipe that smug look from her face when she's forced to storm out.

They'll need to be quick, though - before they're all replaced with right-wing vloggers and influencers (I really hate using that word)

I'll put it this way: Elon Musk has a China soul. He's mentality is very Chinese...If you want to know the way of thinking, or how the Chinese feel about all the things in America...

He should be more careful with what he wishes for.

Interesting dynamic going on with Miller and Bannon.

Miller is a ghoul and creature of the night. He's been part of the Trump axis since day 1 and also aligned with Bannon when he was shaping the early 1st Trump term. Back then when Bannon was kicked out Miller survived. And he's there again this time. Like a cockroach nothing seems to get to him.

But his wife, a former Trump insider, has gone to work for Musk. And there's questions on where Millers loyalty lies. He's always been in the loony far right edge. And Musk is basically calling out Trump for pushing a budget that doesn't go anywhere near enough with budget cuts. Bannon is calling for Musk to be deported.

Where is Miller? Who's side is he going to take?

Ok.

What do you think of his claim that if you want to begin to understand China, you better start with understanding that Confucius and not Karl Marx has the greatest influence?
