I know he played with an injury, but for me, he shouldn't have because he was scared of putting the effort in! He had his operation, then had what was it, six weeks’ rest! So him not having that hunger to play now tells me he will be better not going to the club World Cup.

Mid-season World Cup three seasons ago, a Euros/Copa America last summer and now this with a World Cup next summer is just too much. It's nice as a fan, but I sympathize with the players who are being run into the ground.
