US Riots

But it IS. Just to highlight my obvious displeasure of our country's OBSESSION with all things Yank.

I'm sick and tired of American news being the first item on OUR news (this was, at 6 a.m.).

There'll've been riots in scores of countries, last night. No more or less important than those in UsA. So why is it the lead item?
Manchester United endorse this message

Because what happens over there hugely influences our lives over here.

BBC News at 10 reporting the LA events now - expect the BBC to be frozen out of all White House pressers as of tomorrow followed by Stephen Miller to be screaming about it as disgraceful whilst Musk is doing his Mrs

Can @mods @Ric change the thread title?

"Riots" suggests that sending in the National Guard might be justified.

A bit like Peterloo, sending in the yeomanry to attack a peaceful demonstration.
It’s totally absurd, sending in an Army to deal with such a protest. How many times have we seen British Forces doing this? There’s no jurisdiction.

It can only be for nefarious means, hopefully it’s a very quiet night in LA.

It's worth noting that he did not deploy any soldiers when his fascist army attacked The Capitol. This is designed to have them escalate this so he can declare martial law (or as they say it: marshall law). The other day the head of ICE warned about criticizing them and now we have this.

American troops are attacking Americans.
I cant believe how that entire self engineered coup has been airbrushed from history, in a country that claims to we hold that these things true etc and blah blah. Banana Republic

I sometimes think I must be in Jacob’s Ladder (the film not the Bible) and I’m going to wake up in March 2016.

I think this is all just part of the decline of western supremacy. Everyone arguing with each other, over every little thing. It’s not going to end well, I fear.
I think there’s extremes on all sides, but eventually there’ll be a hegemony with the people who really run the countries, that will bring it around to them getting back to ‘Making Money’.

Why they need to make that money is another subject, one for a brighter day.

California should look at leaving the USA - they have everything they need to be an independent country
