As much as I (really!) like him, Nunes sticks out like a sore thumb there - maybe because everybody else are in their natural positions and he's not.

I think with that solid midfield, there's room for Nunes as we'd need width on the right.

Nunes at RB is obviously stop-gap. But we've spent a ton already. Can we spend more?

I hope so.

Anyhow, I think that Nunes at RB is perfectly fine for most games where we expect to win. He isn't total shit and he's improving at RB.

OtOH - why would we settle for a RB whose main position isn't even RB and whose offensive and defensive play is adequate - but not at all top class?

Hopefully we have enough funds available to sign a world class RB - and Nunes can become a squad player.

Good idea. I'd try a bunch of or squad at RB - assuming we don't sign a true RB - to see who is best. But Nunes - so far is best - at least IMO. I for sure would investigate all other options - as Nunes is not an adequate first team RB in a squad hoping for the league and C/L titles.

Khusanov would be a better choice than Nunes if we dont sign one, Got the pace to recover and help Ruben out if required.

If we are starting with such an aggressive attacking line up we need pace at the back.
Ruben is our on field leader and organiser, we need him in the line up, and khusanov is the ideal person to cover for the perceived lack of pace, while Ruben can support him tactically.
Perhaps Pep has been experimenting while Khusanov has been out of the team.

Too early to for me to say but I'm sure Pep will learn a lot from CWC who our next season regular starters and bench will be. Apart from RB we have strength in depth to cover the other positions but hopefully we'll sign a specialist RB this summer. I'd like Livranento but getting him is not going to be easy.

Right now you probably bring Nunes/Akanji and Foden/Doku/Savinho into the 2 empty slots.

- We need a new right back for next season, that should be a non-negotiable for this window.
- I'd also like to see a goalscoring winger signed. Foden better off centrally, not in the XI atm as he needs a mental refresh and Savinho/Doku young and still learning/don't score enough yet.
