It just feels like Ake has too many hamstring injuries, mainly because he's sprinting back to stop a counter attack.

Thats good for the left side but who covers on the right. At the moment we've got Nunes & Lewis, neither are fullbacks, Akanji who can be hit n' miss, Kushanov & Dias, who lacks a yard of pace. Branthwaite would also be hg & we could probably get a better price if we chucked in Grealish & Stones

As for John Stones. I’d keep him for the remaining year on his contract and let him go for a free next summer.

His book value is about £35m given he has two years left, anything below that is an accounting loss which we’d obviously be looking to avoid for PSR etc

Assuming Reinjders is announced soon, guessing business now shifts to the outgoings? I've never been a star pupil but if my math(s) is corrects, it looks like we'd need to move a few before we can sign any more non-HG players. For the 17 non-HG spots we have:

Both would need to be in the non-HG quota for the Champion's League. As would Echeverri, who I couldn't see on your list.

Adding those 3 in would put us at 22 non-HG players, so 5 of those players will either have to not be included in the CL squad or will have to leave.
