President Trump

Every week there seems to be something manufactured to get Joe Public to forget about the car crash from the week before. We have civil unrest starting to creep into more cities across the US. It draws attention away from Musk outing him about his relationship with Epstein. Kicking off with Musk draws attention away from him crashing the world economy and his free Boeing 747 from the Qataris, who remembers this peace deal that was supposed to be happening with Russia and Ukraine? The cease fire in Gaza, that went well didnt it?

Has he done anything in his first five months that’s worthy of any praise?
Exactly. Note this is happening in California. There's masses of immigrants in Texas and Florida but I 100% guarantee there will be no rioting there.

Now he's warning people who protest on his glorified birthday party will suffer "heavy punishment."

Calling out Mango Mussolini is unpatriotic apparently...

He's using Bibi's playbook.

If he gets away with this expect him to start taking out "insurrections" which happens to be in areas of states where they have a different skin colour.

It’s amazing that Trump is clamping down on free speech considering he instigated a riot all the way back in January 2021 where the capitol building was illegally accessed by his sympathisers and people died in the chaos. He then had the balls to pardon anyone jailed in what happened. If you follow that as a legal standpoint as an American you should be able to go kill and hurt people plus damage property as the president will get you out of jail.

Didn't he take a run at becoming Pope so that he can publicly tell Rags to fuck off from the highest seat possible?

Top Berting if you ask me........... :-)

His idiocy along with his anti-trade policies as well as his progress in making the USA an untrustworthy ally has worked wonders for my investments in sectors that benefit from this lunacy like non-US defence and gold mining. It’s more than compensating for downturns in US investments.

I think that the USA - and the world at large - is far too dependant on rare earths from China. Raising tariffs on rare earth imports from China is - I think - absolutely the right thing to do.

That said - the objective should be to incentivise domestic rare earth production as much as possible. Tax incentives/laws to further encourage domestic production of rare earths in the USA should go hand-in-hand with tariffs on the import of rare earths - I'm not aware that this is in fact occurring at all.

The trouble with Trump is that anything he does is for personal gain. Sometimes his personal gain overlaps with national benefit - but it's rare. And I know of no instance where Trump's policies holistically benefit the United States.

I wonder how far he will push it with the military and mobilising the national guard to cities where they clearly aren’t wanted? What do the people at the top of the military quietly think of what he’s doing and how far will they eventually obey the commander and chief? Will there be a military coup in the greatest democracy on the planet by November 2028?
America isn't a democracy now, and I don't think that it ever will be.

I think that Trump or whomever runs as the Republican candidate for president in 2028 will lose the election. At which point I think that America will radically change policies both domestic and foreign - and will - at least for the following 4 years - be far more democratic.

However, the balance between authoritarianism and democracy in America is on a knife's edge - I foresee America flip-flopping between MAGA-like authoritarianism and democracy every 4 to 8 years for the foreseeable future.

I wonder if they will start to change their constitution if democrats get back in to stop this sort of shit show happening again, the president has grown far too powerful for one person.

Changes to the constitution require a 2/3rds majority vote by Congress or a 2/3rds vote by the states on a proposed change followed by a ratification vote requiring a 3/4ths majority vote of the states. Bottom line - there's no way that the US constitution is going to change anytime soon.

Just ignored.

Do you think there will be free and fair elections in 2028?
If Trump and his MAGA backers get their way the elections will be Russian or Iranian style corrupt ones where Trump or his successor is guaranteed 99% of the vote.

The non-right journalists should make this their first question, every time. Maybe their only question.

MAGA are in denial and genuinely believe that the tariffs are working (even though most are on pause at the moment). They really, unbelievably, still don't understand what a tariff is, and have no interest in learning. They'll find out soon enough though - but even then, it won't be Trump's fault.

The question should be:
Who pays the tariffs, when do they pay them, how do they pay them, to whom do they pay them?
Ask that of his official spokesbint and she will crumble.
