Isnt the same, had his best form under us, at Bayern glimpses of world Class and then 20 games without any effect. Atm not our level and not what we need. Only plays now because Coman and Gnabry are injured.

Yeah I'd have had him back a couple of years ago but he's still injury prone and inconsistent and on mega wages. We need to look forward not back. Palmer has already hurt a lot more than Sané, I loved him at City but he's hardly been a roaring success in Germany.

I think he knows it’s his last big deal, unless he hops to Saudi, so he’s trying to ensure his financial future is sound AND his contribution to the team is not taken for granted.

Seems reasonable to me.

Hard to see them not finding a number, even if it is a lower number and an extra year!

Not so much about him. It was more that at the time, we had such a feel good factor about us, that him leaving somehow dented it.
However, i feel his potential was never fully realised. He was influenced way too much by his mother!
