Thank You Kyle Walker

Was about to say this, not sure he was as instrumental in the champions league win as has been made out.

Take nothing away from him as a player though the best right back the premier league has ever seen and hopefully he'll be remembered here for his fantastic service not the drop off that occurred in the first few months of this (last) season
The only way Vinicius would have been in Istanbul is if Kyle hadn't taken him out of his back pocket

I remember having an argument with a Tottenham fan just after we'd got him - he said that he couldn't defend and I replied that we hadn't bought him to defend that but more of a wing back - attacking player............that soon shut him up...................

When we won the League Cup 6 odd months after he joined and it was his first trophy, he was interviewed on the pitch and you could see the emotion and hunger in his eyes - he was so happy.............

Top player in his prime

Happy Birthday, Kylinho....................

For the way Pep wants to play Kyle was absolutely key.

He covered for all the other defenders and the midfield if we lost possession in a dangerous area.

His obvious loss of speed in the season that just ended and his subsequent departure was a big reason we were a pale shadow of the team that won 4 PL titles on the spin.

He can get fucked for leaving us high and dry as our CAPTAIN as soon as it got tough.

Try and focus on the positives mate, been a key figure for a number of years during our period of dominance.

It has slightly tainted my opinion of him as well though I'm not going to lie. Jumps ship when the team isn't performing (pretty much for the first time since he's been here) and knowing the amount of injuries we were contending with all over, but especially at the back. Should have been nowhere near the captain's armband.

he was a sub for 5 out of the7 champions league knock out legs
For me no one else could have stopped vinicius, in fact not just for me the whole fanbase and media could see how he was instrumental to that.

And of course its not just the football on the pitch, he was one of the leaders setting the standards (on the pitch). Absolutely instrumental to us.

It really cost us so many titles.
He signed for us in July 2017, and went out on loan in january of this year. In that period, there was one season when we didn't win the title; the 2019/20 season. Did his crossing cost us that title? Liverpool finished 18 pts ahead of us that season. So, saying he cost us "titles" (plural) is wrong.

That was the joke :)

Just felt the guy’s comment was like saying ‘Pity his heading was so poor‘ when summarising the career of David Silva.

Real shame how it has ended, he's up there with the very best & most instrumental players during Pep's era of domination

This is the reason I say no Kyle no Istanbul.
City were probably the best team in the world at the time of that semi-final. We might have won without him. Kyle was in the team and played his part. Without Walker then Vinicius probably wins the balloon dor.
