If Iran weren't constantly on the defensive there may be a chance for the people there to have more freedoms.

Having a massive threat against Iran only supporysthe hardline there. Its the same with Palenstine and anywhere else.

Apart from the ideological aspects of all this, the pursuit of financial gain is just throwing fuel on the fire. Producing arms is big business but only if you get repeat orders.

No one should. The less the better.

But if you are constantly being attacked by your neighbours then you probably need a deterrent. It is better than invading your neighbour and killing thousands of innocents.
