Tino Livramento

He won't have, he's had Gordon and Burn in the squad.
People just talk to talk eh. Would be surprised not to take someone just because he didn’t play for Arsenal, City or Liverpool despite his own team mates being in and players from
Weaker clubs.

Livramento doesn’t need to move. He will make the squad as the backup LB anyways if the RB position is full.

Same with Trafford. He can play for whoever not like England has crazy goalkeepers.

He ticks too many boxes for us , which means we have to pull out all the stops to sign him

There aren’t any homegrown right backs on the market that have the upside that he does

The money saved on the four signings to date gives us room to blow Newcastle out of the water with our bid

I would go up to £75m for him , with some sweeteners of players they may be interested in

It’s just the rules.
Savio and Khusonov will be added to the Non HG numbers. So we actually have to have 15 max so they can be added.
can’t keep leaving out players during the UCL
Stones Walker Grealish Ake and maybe Lewis could all be gone by the end of the next season
Gotta replace them somehow
I get that. I'm more meaning, getting the right profile of home-grown talent has got to be incredibly difficult.

You would, ideally with all the caveats around home-grown players (price etc), want them to be a nailed-on starter for 80% of games at least. Don't envy the job at all.

If we’re going after him, can see this going all the way to the last week of the transfer window.
I can't, the only reason Newcastle would sell was so they could buy, if that's the case they'd want in done quickly. Think we'd know quite early whether it was on or we need to think again.

We might have already spoken to them to tell them we want him and set a fee, but we won’t bid till Newcastle bring in players. We give them £ 70m now other teams know they have the money. Now they can say we’re on a tight budget and can’t go any further with the fee!

Ignoring the fact he’s homegrown - which we’ll be looking for anyway - but that’s doubled down by the fact he’s a versatile right back. Exactly what we need.

Be amazed if we don’t do at least one bid this Summer to test their resolve.

I don't understand why we should be doing them any favours. No one treats us like that.

If we think he's worth £70m, then put a bid in, if they agree then buy him if they don't then walk away.

We need a new RB before other teams start pre-season training imo.

Honestly we need him, just go and get him. The scousers have spunked money on players, I am actually happy that we walked away from the Wurtz deal, and secured the three absolute talents for less money. I think this guy would bring us silverware next year, maybe another treble????

Gordon and Burn get picked but they don’t start. If Livramento played for City he’d get a guaranteed start either as LB or RB. All the best players want to win something and want to be part of the reason their team won.
I’m sure Livramento would like to be considered as one of the best fullbacks in the world and that won’t happen at Newcastle unless they start winning big trophies.

I don’t know about the guaranteed start with TAA and James being there. Especially when we use the „ big club method“ than TAA is literally starting for the Real Madrid which would mean he is #1 RB now with Walker declining and out of sight. Livramento should make the team regardless but I don’t think moving to City would make him a starter. Look at Bellingham. Moved to Madrid and is the undisputed #10 of the national team without even being one.

Maybe say no deal other wise
