Florian Wirtz

Absolutely mental that a player has had two decent seasons and he's "fantastic" or "world class" according to some of our fans. The same fans that call Foden shit after one bad season.

Sancho had unreal stats in the German league.
Haaland, Sané, Gvardiol, Kompany too.
„ according to some of our fans“ more like the whole football world. I know he is shit now that he is moving to another club . The usual cope.

You said Wirtz is world class and the best player in his position. He plays pretty much the same position as Foden.
Wirtz has not done anything in his career to suggest he has been better than Foden.
At every level from under 16's to now, Foden has achieved more.
If you're going to call Wirtz the best player in the world in his position, don't be shocked when people compare him to Foden.
You're the one coming out with all the hyperbole.
Wirtz may go on to be an all time great. But he is not yet.
There is a debate to be had about whether Wirtz is actually better than Cole Palmer, nevermind Foden.
he doesn’t play the same position since Foden occupies the right side. And again if they played the same position and the club still considered Wirtz what does it tell us? Does the board know something you don’t? Or are they talking out of their mind too?
I honestly don’t know why I have to defend myself to mention that Wirtz is a good talent and literally a better 10 which is a fact than Foden? The same player guardiola doesn’t even trust in the middle.

Foden is 3 years older. Wirtz started for Leverkusen with 17. you can look up his creation stats when he was still in Highschool.

I get it no one is better than Foden and no one comes close. Case closed. Still no argument on why Real Madrid, Liverpool, our own club are so wrong about wirtz‘s talent and how he is the best player in the „ shitty“ Bundesliga since he turned 20.

From „ we are going to cruise through the league with him „ to he isn’t anywhere near Foden. Make it sense.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think Musiala is world class or better than Foden?

Looks a great player but be interesting to see how Slot fits him into the Liverpool's style of play.

Not sure Szoboszalai has played to his full potential at Liverpool and that could be partly due to the way they play. Slot seems to prefer a more controlled style of play, and that would suit Wirtz, but may negate some of their other strengths.

„ At 21“. That’s the thing. Your statement revolves around his age. Even while being 21 you can’t name 1 person at his position alone who is clear of him currently since that certain player doesn’t even exist. He is starting for one of the best national teams and is now moving for a certain amount of price and has done something no one has done for his club beforehand. Not only not losing a game in the Bundesliga but actually being the best player in a league with players like Musiala and Kane. I am sure you would consider both of them world class - if we go by age ( that’s your argument) then I doubt you wouldn’t call Musiala world class, would you?
i am sure Neymar and hazard were considered world class at that age too already.

For me personally he is world class. There is no better player at his current position + he is the absolute vocal point in his team. We got 3 other good players instead of him but I doubt no one here wouldn’t consider him world class if he joined.

Gotta give credit where credit is due. Not even 2 weeks ago he was credited to be the one who would give us the edge to win the league next season again now he isn’t even world class.
He clearly is otherwise no one would easily pay over 100M for him. And it’s not 1 club only - there were 3 who were able/ wanted to.
I just think there are very few world class players now or in the history of football. There are, however, many who’ve been called it who have subsequently proven to be anything but. Shevchenko and Pogba, for example.
Finally, there are absolutely no guarantees that he will be excellent at Liverpool, as there wouldn’t have been had he come here. A lot of it is just opinion and guesswork.

Excellent signing for them. A real statement.

I just hope they hold the statement true on all meanings. A potential superstar signing for them and one of the most expensive players in history to grace our lands. A player who takes the ceiling for transfers in the uk to another level. A player they can sign because of money.

We shall see,tho I do suspect that this player, could reproduce similar stats to Grealish, but there simply would not be anybody counting,..Nevermind write about it!?

I can go with that if that’s your point. There are definitely less world class players than let’s say 10 years ago. But maybe the „ world class „ aspect has changed since it’s gotten less. If we compare it to the 10‘s or 00‘s then yes there might even be only a handful out there then.

It's probably 116 + add ons. But since it's Liverpool, they won't include that.

If we had signed him, they'd include the add ons, his wages, 10 years of inflation, and report the deal in Japanese Yen.
US media is reporting him as the most expensive PL signing.

Weird graphic - Grealish was a buy out so maxed at £100m whereas Caicedo & Wirtz have add ons. Can't really say it takes into account inflation either. I know it says excluding add-ons but odd to have it ordered that way
It’s not odd at all. It’s devised that way for reasons which should be obvious.

This should be fun,..or maybe the wrong term, from our side!?I’d speculate that not even once, will we hear any of these cunts say ever,..100 million pounds Florian Wirtz!?…Nevermind the real amount!?We all know it’s too true,..and absolutely f’kin pathetic.
You don't even hear it about Caicedo or Enzo. Only Jack was regularly referred to as '£100 million man Jack Grealish.' I never heard Declan Rice's transfer fee mentioned during a game.

No, I don't think Musiala is world class. He's flattered to decieve every time I have seen him play.

Again, you're the one blowing smoke up Wirtz' arse and going way over the top. Neither Wirtz nor Musiala have reached the levels that Palmer or Foden did, 2 seasons ago. You can't deny that.

You can comment about Wirtz playing a leading role for Leverkusen when they were unbeaten. If they had been in the Premier League that season, imo they would not have remained unbeaten and would not have won the league.

We are not going to agree as you think Wirtz is the coming of Christ, where as I think he still has it all to prove.
He may well go on to do so. Hopefully he doesn't.

I'll leave you with this. Pep did not trust Palmer, either. How did that work out?

I also think City will walk the league next season. The return of Rodri will have a bigger impact on City than Wirtz does on Liverpool.

Have a lovely weekend.
