dont think so with him being 18 and on a pro contract already,Do we know he definitely doesn't qualify now?
Different criteria for academy players, are they not?

Every day is a school day.You can be. Whelmed exists but is just less commonly used.
If he turns out like Odegaard we should be happy.Odegard was the next big thing out of Norway at 15 and signed for Madrid and got promised first team opportunities. He got bumped around europe before finally getting his place at a second rate outfit in North London. Hope it goes better for the kid.
It's an interpretation but not necessarily an obvious one, particularly given how desperately Aston Villa and Arsenal, amongst others, coveted his signature. As we follow other teams and move to a younger side with older players leaving, it might also be time to leave behind the idea of 'flipping'. If players show promise and appear good enough, they are likely to be given their head.Obviously bought with a view to flipping; not a bad strategy given his potential. Be very surprised if he stays here long term.
I'd be very surprised if he doesn't. Seems to have put too much thought intothis move for that to be the plan. Plus he looks far too talented for us to want that. He'll probably be with the first team squad 26/27.Obviously bought with a view to flipping; not a bad strategy given his potential. I think we're already planning succession for Bernardo when his contract expires next season.I'd be very surprised if he doesn't. If he can't play for its, how can he play for any other english club who are are at top level?Loan him to English clubs so he will be considered HG when he turn 21

Are you suggesting we loan him to a team in the lower divisions?
If we're talking work permits then Douglas Luiz couldn't get one for us and after a couple of seasons of loans ended up at Villa. They're changed the rules somewhat now but where they stand in terms of the clubs wage structure used to have a big impact. If he can't play for its, how can he play for any other english club who are are at top level?

Its a difficult area.If we're talking work permits then Douglas Luiz couldn't get one for us and after a couple of seasons of loans ended up at Villa. They're changed the rules somewhat now but where they stand in turns of the clubs wage structure used to have a big impact.
Do the rules on work permits really benefit anybody? I think not.Its a difficult area.
We have to loan him out yet Echeverri can go straight into our team.
The clubs you can loan players to is reducing every season.
We filled up our quota last season of European loans. I think Perrone and Kabore will be sold shortly but there are talks of Reiss and Bah going on loan this season plus there is the possibility of a few senior players having to go on loan as well.
By all accounts he's not keen on a loan move to Girona and was one of the reasons we fell behind in Jan. Clearly have a different plan that involves another move.
Also Girona would have to be January which may be great as its after the Norwegian season but we might as well sign him now and get him to a European team so he gets a full season there. Bearing in mind how quick this surfaced after the Cherki deal my money is on Lyon.
I reckon we'd rather keep Echeverri here tbh. He's been integrated and Pep (albeit we were losing) threw him on in the cup final.Yeah I could see Nypan going there but Echeverri has also been linked? Maybe it’s both?
I have no idea who will go on loan if anyone, but think a lot of posters trying to make their preferred squad work numbers wise. find it easy to just assume Reis and Echeverri go on loan, because they haven't seen them. They might but none of us have any idea what Pep and his coaches will want when they return from the CWC.I reckon we'd rather keep Echeverri here tbh. I think the Echeverri links are just people making assumptions because its come out someone is going there on loan and he makes some sense. We rarely get anything leaked now if we start briefing people it will be a bit more obvious I think.
Only way I can see Echeverri going out on loan, whether to Lyon or another team, is if we really struggle to get rid of certain players.
I think we have two groups of players that we can loan out.
