Fixtures Calendar - 2025/26

Just wondering why we can't open at home? We've been playing this past season with the construction work ongoing. It's looking like the roof should be finished come mid august, so most of what's left would, I'm guessing, installing the seats and fitting out the concourse (toilets, bars, catering etc) . That shouldn't impact on our ability to host games. Or am I missing something?
 
Is there going to be a week off for a "winter break" this season or is calendar too packed?

Seem to remember over the course of two weekends every team got a week off, but not sure if the extra UEFA games have permanently put a stop to that?
 
In my puddled mind, we alternate with United for last game of the season at home and it’s our turn next season.

It this even a thing, or am I chatting shit again?

It’s been that way for the last few seasons but I don’t think it’s a hard and fast rule.

City come in at round 3 of the Carabao Cup.

Round 3 is split between week commencing 15 September and 22 September 2025 to accommodate clubs participating in Champions League and Europa League.
  • Round Four: w/c 27th October 2025
  • Round Five: w/c 15th December 2025
  • Semi-Final First Leg: w/c 12th January 2026
  • Semi-Final Second Leg: w/c 2nd February 2026
  • Final: Sunday 22nd March 2026

Maybe totally wrong here but I thought you could only request the opening game to be away? as we have done in previous seasons & this up-coming one by all accounts?

That would inevitably lead to Liverpool starting with two home games or a blank weekend for potential Everton opponents.

Why would Everton need such? The stadium was finished weeks ago and has had (trial) matches played there at the end of last season.
