When John F Kennedy demanded Israel to cease and dismantle the nuclear site at Negev Desert Dimani built by Israel because there must not be any nuclear weapons in that region, the government either decided to side with president JFK or side the Israel country that is thousands of miles away from America.

Which side did that government choose?

As well, JFK blocked the pre-AIPAC organization from entering the government because that organisation requires to be officially approved and registered.

Yet shortly after his death, Lyndon B Johnson accepted AIPAC without need of approval and registration, and then after the White House for the first time invited an Israel PM to visit.

As is now, I’m relieved my fellow American friends do not want their friends and relatives to be involved in this current war that serves no purpose and needless sacrifices for Americans. Be diplomatic, not militaristic.

Nahhh.... Just keep hold of them if you believe it will serve your purpose (which it hasn't done to date), but its up to Hamas if they choose to use the hostages and their own people as human shields. Pretty cowardly tactics but hey you keep defending the cowards that are holding innocent people - nothing I can do about that.

Your simple brain has been spouting that if hostages are released then everything might be ok without taking in the fact on average 1 Palestinian child is murdered by Israel every 3 days long before you cared about the hostages.

Just release the hostages and the killing of Palestinans might might stop. Don't release them, then as we have witnessed for years it won't. Why don't you use your simple brain to work out the best way to try and reduce casualties.

Iran the "greatest threat in the world". Hilarious. Israel is a significantly more dangerous threat to the world than Iran now. And people will never ever forget what you're doing here nor the people cheering it on

And that's exactly why we will not force Israel to stop. They are a key ally in a region that has historically been unstable. They do not pose a risk to the west, so let them eliminate any threat and do our dirty work for us. Publicly condemn, pretend you care about all the casualties but let them continue. Bring about a regime change in Iran without forcing the western nations to go to war and it's a fantastic result. So what if thousands of people die to achieve it? That blood is on Israel's hands.

As I said yesterday, so many countries have been at war with Israel from one time to another. Slowly but surely they've felt the heavy hand of both Israel and the West and fallen into line. If Iran can be defeated, and become a more liberal nation then everyone can live in a lovely enforced peace.

If this was about Hostages Isreal wouldn't be flattening the country. it would be surgical operations to get them back. Israel have probably killed most of the remaining hostages doing what they are doing.

I'm not in favour of forcing regime change because only Iranians can do that. However again some seem to believe that the world is a lovely rosey place and every ill in the region is caused by Israel but it's just not true. Rather ironically the only place that has democracy and 'westernised' rights is Israel.

The region would benefit just as much from the removal of the Iranian regime as removal of the Israeli one although Iranian liberation is another topic.

there has been large quantities of re fuling aircraft from US over this way in the last 24h. there is a NATO excerise but from what I've been reading the levels of movement are far higher than that warrants.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard says it has hit the centre of Israel military intelligence agency, known as Mossad, in Herzliya.

Massive explosions were reported in the central Israeli city this morning, with pictures from the scene showing a large column of smoke rising from a building.
