Season ticket holders non attenders numbers

Which is why they can make exemptions for people who actually contact them.
They can. But it’s not a given. My son has rang and emailed about his working shifts situation. Alex @ City Matters has emailed and taken his case up. Alex suggested we go to the press. My son’s seat is never empty. If he doesn’t go a member of the immediate family goes. Last year he managed 13. So maybe he’ll be ok. But it’s a worry.

Of course not, I don't think there is a solution that will make everybody happy, I always think firstly of medical reasons for the existence of the exemption rule. With kick offs being all over the place nowadays people are going to be caught out, your son being a (possible) example or people with travel issues.

On an aside (and not pointed at yourself), I have seen the odd angry post where they seem to think that giving theirs up will mean the club playing with half empty stadiums. They always make me smile as unless they personally have bought 30,000 season tickets, they're going to be very disappointed :)

It’s £120 now and you get £7.50 back off your match ticket each game up to 16 matches.
So if you don't do 16 games you get financially penalised by £7.50 for every game you miss. It might not sound a lot, but it's the principle of the matter.

So people who can't make the season 10 game in person criteria are being told to get a flexi, but if you only do 9 games thats a extra £50 on top of what you pay for those 9 tickets

You can buy a phone from Argos for £29.99 (+plus a £10 payg sim). Pop his ticket onto that and just give the phone to anyone who’s going instead of him.

As you can see on here, there are many supporters who are up in arms because their seat is never empty & is passed on to genuine friends & family.

The simple solution is to get rid of this petty, draconian policy & instead sought out friends & family it's not the ones who are genuinely transfering tickets, but those who are reselling them On social media.

I'm not saying the majority of those are doing it to make a profit & it could be just to make sure their seat isn't empty, but the club isn't happy that it's not getting it's extra pound of flesh.

City, when they originally initiated the friends & family scheme, it was done in good faith to fill the empty seats but they've made a rod for their own back by not put any qualifying criteria, so any man and his dog could join

Is there no limit to the friends & family list?

What you are asking for is to have the same price of match day tickets for someone going to half the games as someone going to all the games! Shouldn’t someone committing to every game get some sort of discount?

If you only go to 9 games you won’t be able to renew your flexi gold anyway.

I’m personally very happy with the change as I paid £150 last year and didn’t get that back.
I did 13 games so if I do that this year I will get £97.50 back of my £120!

Unfortunately going to the press seems to be the only way things ever change at City. Reach out to one of the fan groups I'm sure they'll find a way to help?

For the first time, this season they're limiting you to just 3 times transferring to F&F who don't have a paid Cityzens membership, and a maximum of 6 times transferring to F&F who do have a Cityzens membership.

This is why the new policy makes no sense if the club says it's about filling seats, cus they've made it harder for Blues to transfer to mates who don't have a paid membership. Most of my mates who go City have a season ticket, when I can't make games I like to transfer it to friends/family who don't get chances to go or can't afford it, now they've got to shell out £35 for a membership?

The only way it makes any sense is if they guarantee that, should anyone lose their ST, it STAYS as a ST.

What?
Go to the press ??

As an absolute bare minimum. You can't help but think this fits the trend of reducing ST numbers, so they have more to sell as matchday/hospitality.
Nooooo. They would never do that.
Let’s see how easily the new stand sells out for anything other than the premium games, even with reduced prices. They might have to rethink.

City have spent £300m plus on a new stand, offices, hotel. It's uneconomic. It will take decades to recover that money and at the very least there are more profitable ways to invest £300m. My point is not everything City do has a narrow money focus. More likely they just don't appreciate fans circumstances.

I agree to a point, but the club are well aware people work shifts, get pregnant, and have long term illneses or care commitments. And they are certainly aware games get moved all over the place for TV.

Exactly.

People having a go at other fans need to shut their nosy cake holes and focus on the reasons some people miss games - the broadcasters changing kick off times at the last minute with zero regard for fans, the clubs being in cahoots with them and the third world transport infrastructure in this country.

But no, some busybody folk on here demand to know the exact movements of Dave from three seats over who only made it to 10 games last season.

This thread is just like the season ticket thread, full to the brim of curtain twitching nosy cunts who can’t see the wood for the trees.

Am I missing something here or is the flexi-gold season ticket, where you get your initial seat reservation fee back once you attend a certain number of games the answer to all these issues? You get a guaranteed seat if you want it and if you don't, the club simply sell it.

What am I missing?

I’ve not seen that anywhere in the details sent to me! The website says an ST holder has to use it personally 10 times and then can transfer for the remaining 9. I thought I recall there being a limit on the number of people in your F&F though, but as I understand it I can transfer my seat to a single member on F&F 9 times or have I misunderstood your point?

That was the bit I was wondering about.
