Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

A general question for the might is right brigade.
Were say in 10 years the US and Europe to lose interest in their middle Eastern colony with the result it could no longer function as a military superpower, and the Saudis decided to flatten Israel , would you be quite as sanguine about the loss of Israeli life as you seem to be re the current loss of Palestinian life?

In this current conflict, I think the hostages are very important. Majority of those killed or taken as hostage in October 7, 2023 are people who have been pushing for the improvement of relationship between Israel and the Palestinians.

If Hamas signals that they are willing to return all the remaining hostages in return for a safe passage to any country of their choice, it would be almost impossible for the Jews to turn down such an offer.

Even if all that happens, Israel will continue building settlements in the West Bank, against international law, and make life difficult for Palestinians. When they inevitably rise up against this, Israel will destroy them and their towns.

I haven't read of anybody who supports the loss of Palestinian life or any lives on here. I certainly don't agree with what Israel is doing but I don't agree with what Hamas or Iran is doing either.

However, you talk as though there is a superior interest for or against Palestinian lives but it isn't true. The Saudi's have had no problem with flattening Yemen which is a similar injustice that barely gets discussed. Or what about Turkey and its war upon the Kurds? What about the crazy stuff that has happened in Syria? The answer is the ME is a brutal place where human life is valued very differently.

The goal of Hamas has long been for the Arab world to 'rise up' however that has never happened. Why haven't the Arab states for example helped to move the Palestinians to safety? Why were the Arab states recently courting Trump who is only interested in supporting Israel?

Some very good questions raised.
Every time I've had conversations with Pro Palestinians, many of them have no interest in common sense resolution of the crisis. Which leads me to think that these people do not care about the plight of the Palestinians. They just hate the Jews.

This is a pointless discussion with you if you’re comparing Iran to Israel. There’s only one regime in the world that openly declares:
“We’re enriching uranium and getting closer to a bomb in order to destroy Israel!”
They refused Trump’s demand to negotiate stopping their nuclear development — and now they’re paying the price.

From your username, I am assuming that you live in Tel Aviv and would like to gauge your opinion on a scenario I raised earlier in the thread.

If Hamas offered to release all the remaining hostages in return for a safe passage to any country of their choice, would the Israelis accept such an offer? Also, what impact would this have on the ongoing Gaza conflict?

I detest both Trump and Netanyahu - at the same time - only an idiot - IMO - wouldn't take this opportunity to completely eliminate Iran's nuclear threat.

Any offer of any sort has to also include all settlers removed from the West Bank.

Is this something you're in favour of as you constantly post "Israel just wants to be left alone on THEIR land?
