PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I'm just waiting for City's response if they find us guilty of anything whatsoever. Will they go nuclear regardless or just say that they want to get it all behind us and move on?
I would imagine it will be option b, city play the long game, going nuclear now doesnt suit us but it might do one day and we will keep it in the bank until we need to

How could the PL relegate us? To where? The other leagues are run by different organisations. I guess they could kick us out of the PL for breaching member rules tho
The PL can kick us out but it would create a major problem if the EFL didn't want us. The most sensible step for the PL is to deduct enough points to relegate us then we just go into the Championship. However if we're found to not have broken any rules the club should be hanging the PL out to dry.

Remember the grass was to long
VAR did struggle a bit....

Much as I would love to believe Mr Discosteve nothing seems to have happened again.

Shame as I would love someone with that username to break 115! Or was he just talking about the fixture list which was fairly common knowledge?

Tolmie’s news was encouraging.

It’s a fucking odd claim to just throw out there as it was quite specific to the charges.

The post just puzzled me. As it was in this thread I may have wrongly assumed he was referring to 115….the 9pm statement bit. He should have just put it in a the fixtures thread.

I'll leave that to others. The first I will get to hear something is being announced will be about an hour beforehand, if the previous CAS verdict was briefed to the staff in CFG, is anything to go by.

I have a lot of contacts at United and this is simply a very reliable steer what Berrada is telling his own club in recent days.
It's been telling that in his time across the border from Manchester, there hasn't been one single quote from Berrada or the rag media pyschophants about us being guilty. Omar could have signed a NDA but you'd expect some type of leak via the media

In reading it back I think he's saying that because we're in the fixtures list, we're not getting relegated.

I can feel a tar & feathering coming on.

The League doesn't have the power to relegate us anyway, because that requires us to be accepted by the EFL and the PL has no power to compel that.

It could expel us, in which case we may have to rejoin the pyramid at the 10th tier like Bury did, or it could deduct so many points that relegation is a certainty, but that would only impact us at the end of the season.

But as Stefan has said, a guilty finding would then result in a further hearing on the sentence, which would take place probably some point within the 2025/6 season, and then any huge points deduction would probably result in an appeal. Would the appeal get heard before this time next year?

I doubt it.

TLDR - nothing can sensibly be inferred from our presence in the fixture list for season 25/26.
