Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

Lol. The propaganda is working at least.
Ermmm this coming from discussions with several Iranian friends, over many years. You may not agree, and you're entitled to that opinion, but you can't call something propaganda just because ur differs from your opinion

Funny you should say that because my Iranian friend is disgusted by these attacks on his country.

The US and Israel probably need “regime change” more than Iran especially since they’re the ones committing war crimes & genocide in the Middle East.

You may want to look up statistics on the % of Iranians who want a regime change.it has already been discussed briefly in this thread

People want regime change in most countries. It doesn’t mean they want an outside force coming in, bombing their country, and killing innocent people - including children.

You may want to look up a guide to building your IQ up.

Haha, there's a massive difference between a democracy in the Western world and a country run by religious nutters who will have you swinging from a crane if you speak out of line. Give your head a wobble.

I imagine there's a healthy percentage who want a regime change in UK.
I'd be pretty pissed off if the yanks bombed the shit out of us to force it to happen.

There is a huge difference between the two regimes. Regardless of how bad those think it is here , I also started by saying war no. Hopefully, it can end ASAP preferably today , and let the locals decide their future

You’re falling for the propaganda.

Iranian’s (obviously) do not want their country to be bombed and invaded by the US and Israel. They do not want to see their children murdered by these states as is currently happening.

You’re basically promoting a ‘Team America’ narrative where they’re freedom fighters saving the Iranian’s from the bad guy government. The reality is that this is about control of the Middle East & exerting US influence within that region of the world.

A lot Palestinians didn’t like Hamas - do you think they’ve enjoyed the genocide in Gaza? Should Palestinians be celebrating their liberation?

Give your head a wobble.

What permission would Trump need to move assets from a US air base? Whilst I don't doubt some other elements of complicity, there's very little we could have realistically done to stop the US from moving their Air Force planes from their own base, be it in East Anglia or somewhere else
Well they are in fact still RAF bases. And the US still needs the permission of the UK Government to launch attacks from these bases.

Give it a rest. A country that's lived under repression for the last 46 years and you're ok with that just because the resolution will involve Israel and the USA. There obviously will be collateral damage but I'm sure that they're prepared for it. The price of freedom.

Holy fuck, mate.

That is genuinely disturbing.

I'm afraid it's just the usual arrogance displayed by Westerners when it comes to anything east of Vienna.

We've been regime changing for years telling everyone how dangerous X is, how inhumane Y is.
Funnily enough as soon as someone is accused of trying to interfere with our elections all hell breaks loose.

Arrogance as I said.

Oh, absolutely , I've spoken to a fair number of locals , most believe that it would lead to a brighter future , short term pain long term gain and all that
One of my friends is Iranian.

She would like a regime change.

She does not want it enforced from a warmongering outside country who sit in their ivory tower pinging missiles and bullets without discrimination.

The pain to her, and others, is not a short term gain, as she has spent the last week not sleeping more concerned that she will be receiving a phone call that her mother in Tehran has been blown to bits.

Again, I said war no, regime change welcome , but as always, things get twisted in this thread
