Interesting game so far, hope Pep brings RAN on for some minutes, can't judge to much as obviously Pep trying things out.

I hope Wydad get a goal 'cos Macnamara will explode and that will be the last of him. He was like a snake striking to tell us that was Foden's first for twenty games, and did he say that was Doku's first since January?

And I find it rather odd, to the point of making the LotG a travesty when they allow full-blown two-arm wrestling at corners but never let a bit of arm grabbing anywhere outside the areas go unpunished. There's no other description than the word 'cheating'! You cheating bastards. Read the fuckin' LotG, yer cheating bastards.

Not much to take from that. When the opposition are too weak to warrant us playing a proper formation it's always hard to get much from it. Reijnders looks promising.

Just get through expending as little energy as possible especially with the heat. Expect the whole sub allowance to be used second half, get Ait-nouri, khusanov, nico and rodri some good minutes.

Well we look pretty decent going forward, not amazing but pretty sharp. Reijnders looks very good Cherki doesn’t look great but it’s one half of football. Off the ball we were terrible.

I like the players we have signed but the issue we had all of last season was our off the ball work and we haven’t signed anyone to help with that, yet.

To expect the likes of Savinho to suddenly turn it to good players after a couple of weeks though is me asking for way to much.
Tactically it’s all over the shop-think the idea is to push Nico and Rico next to Reijnders in possession -problem has been we have lost possession so frequently it means Reijnders is left on his own with 5 players in front of him struggling to get back.

Cherki has been "underwhelming" but he'll be fine. He's constantly looking to make things happen and this is essentially a friendly. Once he gets up to speed, it'll be magic.

Reis looks stronger already compared to last season. Reijnders will be crucial. Put Rodri even Spanish Nico next to him and he will thrive. Again first game but Foden looks healthy.

We’re winning 2-0. If we’re going to try new tactics this is surely the ideal time to do it

Not expecting much with this many new faces but I'm quietly excited about Reijnders. I know there's a lot of money on the line for this comp but I'm not sure I could give a fuck either way - I just hope it sets us up well for the league next season.
