PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

And you decided to ignore David Ornstein .
Easy game to play,
There's no regular posters on here who can confirm that I'm not a weirdo
The quote is from Ornstein.

You won’t find any journalist saying ‘no one knows and no one will know until the panel deliver their verdict’. It’s their job to find out. They are failing at their job.

The panel have also probably put a three line whip in place about leaks prior to them sitting.

I guess City were annoyed that the leaks kept on getting out to the press ahead of City even knowing what the PL were doing - especially how the charges were obviously rushed when they were announced, because the PL had to get them out the day before the government white paper on the Football Governance Bill and the regulator.

I know this is between you and the other poster, but I've read back and I'm not quite sure what point you're trying to make?

Do you know something more, or are you saying Ornstein does? Or the club?

Just a bit confused.
I don’t have a clue why he’s asking those questions either? I’m not going to waste my time answering them either.

If he thinks there’s a great big conspiracy with the press and City knowing the decision but not leaking it just yet, but their going to do so in the next few days because the MEN mentioned that, a (inarguably well connected) journalist from another publication said that the decision is coming in Spring, and the solstice is tomorrow, then I think he needs to go for a lie down.

I can’t believe this argument is still going over whether journalists know the result/timeline.

They don’t.

And the reason we can be sure they don’t is that any journalist on planet earth would publish the story immediately if they did.

Seriously, journalists haven’t got a clue when this outcome will be released.

Also I never said I was ‘Press Secretary’ (yes do go back look through my posts) - that was above my pay grade. But I did work in the DPMs Press Office. There’s at least a couple of regular posters on here would happily confirm this. Not that I need to prove myself to a weirdo on the internet.
Mate, taking dictation from an SCS doesn't make you a media expert.

I know nothing,
Devil's advocate
Point I'm trying to make is this
Why did Pep call out Levy, in the press conference he said CEO of premier league clubs wanted us punished and Levy was the only one he named, why? Must be some reason, could be Levy is only CEO he knows by name or could be another reason.
Pep said March was the time we would her about the ruling when asked by the media, why did he say March, why not say ' i don't know '
Ornstein seems to be the Oracle on all football matters, so him saying late June for the announcement of the ruling is creditable.
My belief is that the club know who pushed masters and the premier league to charge us with alleged breaches
The club believed that in the spring time the ruling would be announced.
Ornstein, like i said, Oracle ,

Why in February 2023 did Pep call out Daniel Levy?
Why in February 2025 did Pep say we should hear about ruling in March?
Why did David Ornstein say it would be late June when the ruling is announced?
Care to answer these questions or will you be a typical ex Press secretary and squirm out of answering
three excellent questions but alas unanswerable by anyone but the protagonists and their confidantes. ;-)

Yeah but it’s the longest day of the year tomorrow and Ornstein ‘promised it’.

I’m done posting on this thread for the day.

Thanks for explaining your reasoning.

No idea on any of it personally. I have days where it frustrates me, but I'm pretty settled now just knowing we'll hear when we hear, and the rest is just noise.

Do us all a favour & take the rest of the year off as your habit of slagging off people who post anything you disagree with, while being a KFA and posting nothing useful or insightful is fucking boring.

That habit is becoming commonplace here. It drives me nuts.

The journalist might be failing at they job, others aren't,

Embargo,
Remember that Simon Mullock couldn't name liverpool in the hacking database story, because liverpool legally stopped him
I'm pretty sure Stefan is only speaking about an embargo between the parties whilst they're checking for errors, not a formal press embargo on publishing?
