Will we win the league this season?

Comes down to so many unpredictables. Injuries, fixtures at the right time, luck, refereeing, but hopefully,as before, we can be consistent and if we are I'd back us against anybody as we've proofed it time after time. C'mon City!!

I think it’s between us, dippers and arsenal
Arsenal could sneak it if they address a few key areas
I think Liverpool/slot are a bit overated and everyone assuming all their transfers work perfectly
I think we might need a season to turn it round and get back to the consistency we need but if we get a good start we can be up there

Even with our (as yet) largely untested newcomers, I don't see any genuinely stronger opposition in the PL There certainly won't be a coach hungrier for success next season.

Liverpool benefited massively from our downturn last season, Arsenal are, well, Arsenal, and the rest are hoping for a Leicester style 'miracle' season that won't happen.

Avoid another mid-season slump, and we'll win the PL.

Who wins it will be heavily dependent on who has the fittest squad for the longest time and for the crucial games. Any of the 3 favourites and even a few others could win it if they have the luck with injuries in their side as Liverpool did last season.

Are we current favourites with the squad we have though? No. We've bolstered the squad where we had to and done good work with our signings. We've taken the approach of improving the strength of the collective squad which could well be the key to winning it depending on how the season pans out and is statistically the more likely route to regaining our title as injuries are expected and then the strength of the squad is what wins titles.

But, as likely as that is to happen, we can't predict that so we tend to go off the strength of a potential strongest 11 for predictions. I'm not sure we've improved the starting 11 as is, they could slot in but I think with a fully fit squad, form being equal, lining up to face say arsenal or Liverpool, i dont think any of the new signings are shoe ins to start. Dippers were 20 points ahead of us and have improved their best 11 quite a bit whilst adding to their squad, there's no reasonable argument for making us current favourites ahead of them.

Personally I don’t think so as too many new players to integrate and settle in. I think we will be better than this season and we will see lots of progress but we will have setbacks.

We must buy a right back.

That's sort of how I see it, if we hadn't have lost 8 out of 11 (or whatever it was!), we wouldn't have been far off last season.

Liverpool will have to be a better side next season in order to win it, we just have to go back to our base level, and won't even have to be exceptional.

We got 72 points last season , how much better is this squad now ? I’d say 85 points or more is a reasonable target. Will that be enough to win the league, it may well be or if not will be close. Can’t see liverpool or Arsenal getting over 90.
