Read somewhere that Khusanov got dropped due to a heafty appearance clause that was active after we purchased him. The time in which Akanji and Ake became fit again coincided well with the number of matches needed. Of course theres nothing concrete on that, but I do remember reading it.

If stones can play 30 90mins games I would never sell him but the odds are in his history he will play a few games then be out for months

think his record is 6 in a row and that was in his first season here (i had a look the other week)

One of my all time favourite players but he’s on a quarter of a million a week and lives in the physio room. With only a year left, the club should be looking to cash in on him.

I was hoping we'd go for kerkez as I think he's better than Ait Nouri.
I'm glad we didnt put all our eggs in one basket for Wirtz, I can't really comment on him as I've not seen enough of him playing but let's see how he fits in.
I hope he does as he's young, it's a foreign country and a big change in his life.

But I do think Kerkez suits their style better and Ait-Nouri suits our style better

If he’s not fit then no he won’t take him. If he stays fit then he won’t be beat out by any of our other centre backs and will be picked.

Let him go where?

I would agree, but doubt anyone will offer a fee for him, and take the risk on his fitness. When they can wait a year and get him on a free, when that risk then doesnt come with a price. And use his last year with us to see if he does regain fitness.

Not really surprising, with his injuries and wages there isn't exactly a list of clubs wanting to buy him

He'll sit on his final year and leave for a free in the summer, maybe we get 15 starts out of him...seems unlikely though

No guarantees Stones can string games together at another club not just at CIty either but he is still a handy player to have in the squad. Same with Gundo (who we triggered his clause for an extenstion for another season) and Kovacic who despite his injuries is still a capable player to have as valuable depth. There is no need to break it all up in one transfer window.
