Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

A NATO reaction would require an attack on American soil which is what happened with 9/11 and the subsequent venture into Afghanistan, NATO didn't take part in Iraq.

I think the Iranian response will be extremely measured because they're running out of capability to actually respond.
But the US attacking Iran will only result in small cells of pro Iranian soldiers/terrorists/agents retaliating by launching attacks at soft targets, airlines, cafes etc

Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff lays out timeline for "Operation Midnight Hammer"

From CNN's Betsy Klein

US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine offered a timeline of the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, an effort codenamed “Operation Midnight Hammer.”

Midnight ET: The operation began overnight Friday into Saturday morning, Caine said at a Pentagon news conference. As B-2 bombers launched from the US, some headed west as a decoy while the rest “proceeded quietly to the east with minimal communications throughout the 18-hour flight.”

Around 5 p.m. ET: Caine said a US submarine “launched more than two dozen Tomahawk land attack cruise missiles against key surface infrastructure targets” at the Isfahan nuclear site in Iran.

Around 6:40 p.m. ET: The lead B-2 bomber launched two massive bunker-buster bombs at Fordow nuclear site, Caine said, and the “remaining bombers then hit their targets.”

Those additional targets were struck, Caine said, “between 6:40 p.m. ET and 7:05 p.m. ET.”

That places the timing of these attacks around 2:10 a.m. local time in Iran on Sunday.

Flight back to US: The US military then “began its return home,” Caine said, noting that no shots were fired by Iran at the US on the way in or out.

Bunch of fucking cowboy dickheads.

Admittedly, not the most cogent analysis, but it is brief and on point.

Considering you were down to 14 men for most of the game, it's a staggering result against the favourites. Cork will be a stiff test in the s/f.
Keeps things interesting.
It’s a bit like City having a slip up last season after our dominance.
It just gives the rest of the league a chance, you know- the also rans, like Liverpool.
A couple more scalps to take yet though.

Not to mention the statement: "... on a country that is declared by the IAEA and the US's own intelligence community to be not conducting a nuclear weapons programme" is greatly misrepresenting the IAEA's position.

This is the IAEA's resolution they passed on 12th June, people can read it for themselves:

It is quite unambiguous that Iran is in breach of its obligations and that the only reasonable explanation is that it is moving towards building a weapon:

Just because there's no evidence Iran has an official nuclear weapons program does not mean Iran are completely faultless and haven't done anything wrong.

Misinformation is rife on all sides of the political spectrum at the moment over this, I see so much bullshit posted as fact on here that a five-minute Google search shows not to be remotely true.

People need to go and read the actual agency reports if you want to come to an informed conclusions - they make them public for a reason.
And in the future, maybe they will not make them public while there are nutters around who would use their reports as a cause of war.

Yep, got all that intel last night via Signal chat...!

British PM sucking on a presidents cock shocker.

Nothing changes does it?
Not exactly an easy position for Starmer to find himself in, is it ? He's called for calm and de-escalation. If he condemns Trump he's threatening to destabilise the whole NATO alliance and US-UK relations.

I can't quite get over the stupidity that was Trump pulling out of the original Iran nuclear deal. A deal co-signed by all members of the security council, including Russia (when have we ever seen that achieved?) - it had the potential to guarantee Iran wasn't capable of enriching uranium, would be closely monitored, but also would be more dependent on international allies and so have "more to lose". Trump pulled out of it, not because it was a bad deal, but because it was Obama's deal. Absolutely infuriating egotistical nonsense.

Trump pulls out, they start enriching uranium, and now he's bombing them for doing what we all knew they would do and risking pulling us all into WW3. The guy is a fucking moron. As if anybody needed any more reasons to detest him.
He genuinely has an IQ of about 80 I reckon. Putting aside all of his utterly revolting attributes (which is hard to do, admittedly) he's thick. He thought when he imposed tarrifs, other countries would pay them to the US!?!!
