Kick off time 20:00 (BST).

This is where we'll see how seriously both are taking it. We've both dispatched of the other 2 fairly comfortably. We're both already through, to top the group we have to win.

A game against opponents from Group H awaits, who kick off 4 hours after our games finish.

As it stands we would face Real Madrid in the last 16.

Genuinely hard to pick the full 11 for this now. I think there's 6 or 7 nailed on but there's still a few up for grabs. Ederson, Ait-Nouri, Gvardiol, Dias, Reijnders, Bernardo and Haaland are all starters for me. I'd also expect Gundo to complete the midfield 3. After that its anyones guess.

Has to go full strength for this, although it's not easy to say what our best XI is yet. Maybe something like this?

Ederson
Akanji
Dias
Gvardiol
Ait-Nouri
Rodri
Rjeinders
Bernardo
Foden
Cherki
Haaland

I think he’ll pick a winger instead of Cherki.

Savinho/Doku/Marmoush just so we have another runner in the lineup as opposed to someone who wants the ball to feet all the time.

If madrid draw with Salzburg, there is a very decent chance that they finish 2nd and all hilal win the group but we won't know that until after we have played

Ait Nouri
Nico Gonzalez
Reijnders

I would that's pretty much the XI at the moment.

I think Doku may come in for one of the attackers.

Rodri, Doku/Foden, Cherki, Savinho off the bench with 20-30 minutes to go.

I do wonder if Real will produce a performance to miss playing us, as they'll know what position to finish in their group they'll need by the time they play.

It'd be extra funny if they ended up third by trying to be 'smart'.

For what it's worth, I see a quicker more dynamic City now, even though we've only played a couple of poor teams.

We're winning this group.

I’m not sure they’re ready to remove all of the cotton wool from Rodri just yet

I’d go with two wingbacks to provide the width with the two wide players tucking in behind Haaland , 2-3-5 in possession

Ederson

Nunes Dias Gvardiol Ait Nouri

Nico Bernardo Reijnders

Foden Haaland Marmoush

The midfield three could be any combination of those available

A system with two CBs and two WBs might work against Burnley, but Juventus are better than that.

If we want Ait-Nouri to help in attack, 3 solid defenders will be needed in big games.

Is there a limit on the amount of time they can delay the game because of the weather?

The weather pattern in Orlando at the moment is for it to be very hot until about 3pm (ko time) at which point the heavens open. If the weather on Thursday is similar to yesterday they wouldn’t be able to play for several hours due to intermittent lightening and the sheer quantity of water that must surely have turned the pitch into a lake.

Presumably at some point they would have to abandon the match and call it a draw?

User posts clearly show that Pep has a problem — namely, there are obviously 2–3 players too many.

Everyone seems hungry and eager to fight for their place. Especially considering that Kovacic and McAtee are still in the picture. It’s hard to point out who should be let go (not counting Jack for obvious reasons — Jack is already gone):

- McAtee’s future seems all but decided, even though James has quality. But he had his chances this season and delivered a bit too little. Even after just two appearances, it’s clear Cherki has more to offer. James won’t jump ahead of Foden in the pecking order too;
- Gundogan’s future also seemed decided, although in the last few weeks — even before the Euros — he was in very good form. Still, Gundo will probably leave, because you just can’t fit Rodri, Reijnders, Nico, Kovacic, Echeverri, plus Bernardo and even Stones into the 6/8 positions;
- everything indicates that Bernardo and Stones are staying, same with Nunes, who is only looking better and better as time goes on;
- There was a report that Pep wants Reis to stay — if that’s the case, then even more so for O’Reilly and Rico Lewis;
- I wouldn’t want to loan out Echeverri and Bobb — they have huge potential and will be useful. There are no injuries right now, but there will be. And Echeverri really can cover multiple positions.

The cuts will probably come in defense: from the group of Ake, Akanji, Khusanov. Though the truth is Ake and Akanji are high-quality defenders when injuries don’t bother them. What a headache — but the kind of headache you don’t mind having!

Ederson
Walker
Dias
Gvardiol
Lewis
Gundogan
Grealish
Silva
De Bruyne
Doku
Haaland

Substitutes: Nunes, Savinho.

The 13 which lost in Turin in December, when we spurned a good number of chances/half-chances. Be interesting to see how many of them feature and whether Rodri is used this time.
