Yep - I wouldn't be surprised if the torrent of videos mocking the troops ambling along the road on his birthday flop also had some influence. Or being called TACO.

It irks me when the media discuss the various machinations of his 'mind' and what consequences he may have considered when he does stupid things - as though he thinks on the same level as other adults.

He'll never let anything as trivial as the possibility of WW3 get in the way of responding to some light-hearted personal slight.

In its efforts to escape, the fish spits the ball up into the air where it's caught by a passing bird.

As the bird flies over the green it realises that it can't do anything with it and so drops the ball, whereupon it rolls to within 6 inches of the flag.

At this point a squirrel races out from the bushes and as it crosses the green its tail catches the ball and knocks it into the hole.

"Oh, ffs", says Moses to Jesus "there's no point playing, with your Dad in this mood..."

im not sure it would be inevitable that if they developed a bomb they'd use it. Every other country that has developed nuclear weapons will say that it is a deterrent and for their own protection. I wouldn't say Iran would be any more inclined to use their weapons than any other Country that has them.

FWIW I think they probably have one or two reasons for a hatred of Israel and USA other than religion. The whole having bombs dropped on their country being one of them.

Appreciate the response. Your posts are always worth a read and I figured I'd ask the question of someone a little level-headed.

My thoughts? This situation is ten times worse than it was 48 hours ago, as evidenced by the news now coming out of Qatar. As another poster pointed out, there is zero moral high ground to be gained when it comes to nuclear weapons. Iran shouldn't have one, it's a lawless dictatorship who have shown scant regard for human rights. Israel shouldn't have one, they're a lawless UN member who have invaded another state and are committing war crimes, killing hundreds upon hundreds of innocent people on a daily basis. I'm not going to say one should have one and one shouldn't; sorry, I can't make that distinction. The record of US intervention in these matters is patchy, and that's being very charitable. Iraq, Afghanistan, even going back as far as Vietnam and the ultimate futility of that conflict. All it does is leave vacuums that spit out more extremist factions. It's hard to muster confidence that this will work; couple that with the fact the US are staunchly allied with a nation that are currently committing genocide and I'm not going to naively believe that Trump (a recklessly impulsive narcissist) and Netanyahu (a bloodthirsty zealot) are doing this for anything other than their grotesque self-interests. I'm not going to pick a side; they're all horrible bastards and as always it's innocent people that pay the price. And the UK said yes because the US asked. We're a lapdog; one of the clauses of the special relationship, I guess.
